Two other points in that - I agree with MacLean in that the back ref went whistle to face before Bob stood up. The other? Rielly jabbed THE PAD on his follow up. Even if it was somehow conclusively IN pushing the goalie's pad into the net is not a goal.

Yep. Right call was made. No goalie's moving that casually unless he knows the play is dead.

Does Dubas know anything about hockey to react that way?

Dubas has been involved in hockey since he was a stick boy at 13. Probably before that, but in hockey that mattered since then.

He’s actually slightly learned on the job, based on his acquisitions the longer he’s been with the Leafs. He knows the playoffs at the NHL level are different, but he can never trade any of the big 4, even if it makes the team deeper. He’ll always lose that trade.

Regardless, f*** the Leafs. Lose in the second and I hope Florida wins to simultaneously disappoint Leafs and Habs fans.

Dubas getting sacked and then going to Pittsburgh would be an interesting outcome. In the meantime, I'm enjoying watching the Bandits smash the Rock, the Amerks can go up 2-0 tomorrow and the Leafs are on the verge of being run out of the 2nd round.

I’m actually surprised lacrosse isn’t more popular here in Canada. The NBA and NHL is more popular, due to those companies owning the Leafs, Raptors, and Blue Jays it makes sense. but seeing Bell and Rogers also owns the Toronto Rock, and the broadcast rights to their game, you’d think they’d put it on CTV (the main channel here in Canada that isn’t CBC) when neither of those teams are playing. Screw seeing a re-run of X-Factor. Play a lacrosse game, and more people will be into the sport.

I could tell he’s not himself. I get to pick players to score, due to the Tim’s NHL challenge and he’s an option. Draisatl isn’t one. McDavid isn’t one. Pastrnak stopped being one in March. Tage in the regular season wasn’t one after December. He’s been an option every game, so I assume Matthews can play but he can’t shoot.
