I think Carolina is totally overrated. I watched some of their games in the series against the Isles and all they really do is play dump and chase and try to grind it out in the corners and get it to the front of the net from there. There's no possession, no fast zone entries or breakouts, nothing. And their big problem: they're not strong enough on the puck to do that against teams that play more physical.

Rangers are going to make short work of them by defending adequately and by scoring way more than the Canes' playstyle allows for.
Hmm normally I would agree but their roster is quite a bit more impressive this year than in prior seasons. I think this series will go 7 with the Rangers coming out on top

I really do want the Rangers to win the cup, I like a lot of their players. Would also be cool to do it on the 30th anniversary of their most recent win. Only reason I’d like to see Vancouver go all the way 😝

the Panthers have a lot of fire power and are not as soft as the Leafs. Bob vs Swayman is a wash. Plus they are rested.

It will take a lot more to get past Florida. I don’t see it happening.

Reminder that the Bruins absolutely fleeced us in that Lindholm trade.

Cool to see him be the difference maker we knew he could be. Will be interesting to see what happens to the Leafs going forward
Way too soon for this. Gaucher is a project, but Vaakanainen appears to be a serviceable top 4 player, Clara appears to be a legit prospect, and there’s still this year’s 2nd.

Lindholm has absolutely been a good top pairing shutdown guy, but has never been able to put it together with both scoring AND defense - he’s a very good 2D. We may well lose the trade, but it’s not like we traded Josi or Makar.

Deboer is undefeated in Game 7's (7-0). On the other side Petro and Martinez are also undefeated in Game 7's (each 5-0).

disagree. we traded a top pairing D for a project bottom 6 center, a decent bottom pairing defensemen (not sure you can claim Vaaks is a top 4 guy when he hasn't played top 4 minutes), and a goalie prospect that's blocked by Dostal.

absolutely wish we could have found a way to keep him over having those assets.

This is the best team CAR has had in the past 17 years

Yes but the franchise has been uncool for 27 years. When I spot Whalers gear in the wild it's pretty sweet (saw a Whalers ornament on someone's Xmas tree once), the toilet flush stuff not so much.

And Brass Bonanza will never die. At least not until I take it off my ringtone list.
