@Cmox @bl02 the true Around the NHL thread champs for being able to talk hockey still when everyone is too upset to talk hockey seeing Quenville coach tonight.
As I bitch about my yahoo fantasy team. But I dont forget. I can multitask. Sadly many can’t.

Edit: not dissing on our NYRhffam but it seems apparent many people today can’t focus, let alone focus on more than 1 one thing.

Not sure how to respond to this. I guess I am being insensitive for not knowing more about the situation and talking about the Leafs game instead? I won't post anymore today about anything unrelated to the horrible events that happened.

Quenville and Bettman and the Panthers carrying on is basically their way of showing how arrogant and confident they are that this will blow over and they'll be able to survive this even with how social media works nowadays.

I'll admit, I'm kinda enjoying the fact that Toronto is losing again. Most people are understandably cheering against the hawks but it will be so entertaining if the leafs lose tonight.

I genuinely believe the psyche of the Leafs is beyond broken. Marner is psychologically damaged, at least in Toronto. Will be interesting to see how they handle what's to come.

They got pajama boy. That was their victory of the modern era. And it cost them any shot at a real victory.

I just looked at what the Pat Nemeth buyout is going to cost in his final year to take my mind off of it, doesn’t look too bad lol.
He'll be what, 31 entering the final year? The old boys in the NHL love veteran defensive defensemen, gotta think someone would take him in a trade. Maybe we retain but still. Can't imagine his contract would be problematic for us.

I mean if someone--a good team no less!--will take a 34-year-old Jack Johnson for $750k, someone will be willing to take Nemeth at 31 for $1.75 or whatever.

Ironically, Jack Johnson was essentially Nemeth’s replacement in Colorado.

What kind of drunk? What are we drinking? Details. It’s f***ing frigid here today so I came home and poured a generous glass of… Trader Joe’s “wheat bourbon”. I’m not sure it’s actually proper bourbon, but it is pleasant and the wheat flavor mellows it down nicely. At 45% and very sippable, Trader Joe’s liquor is making me a believer. $17.99 helps.

I’m honestly not good with liquor. I’d be worse than now posting. Sadly, I’m drinking wicked Redd’s 8% ontop of twisted tea ( no bully) on top of the evil forbidden fruit slushy that only PA sells. Had a long day. Don’t let me even mention the Micheal Cera horror movie I watched earlier today.

I hope I never find myself in a situation similar to Kyle Beach.

But if I do have that misfortune, I hope I have it in me to face it with the courage that he has.

So, I have had a decent amount of whiskey tonight, but my wife and I recently (finally) started The Walking Dead, and if you can honestly tell me this man shouldn’t play Brian Leetch, idk what to tell you.
