Look at how he plays says a lot. Kid has zero fear going to the net and being around the net

But, there are reasons why our guys don’t score. Reasons I say. And it’s not the coach. It’s other reasons. Things that we have no control over. Reasons.
The way Quinn handles the young guys is abominable. The simps could have pointed to Kakko and Laf not being "NHL ready"(which is contrary to 100% of scouting reports). But Krav is clearly NHL ready and one of our best fwds every game lately, rewarded with 4th line and 10 mins for him..

Our old friend Pepe dropped Josh Manson with a nasty right last night. Class move to help hold him up until the Ducks could get over to him.

1 assist in 6 games with the Kings, zero improvement with the change of scenery.

He likely has peaked with his offensive contributions. I think we could have afforded the luxury of having him remain in our lineup on a nightly basis considering we have more than enough guys that can score only and provide no physicality whatsoever . Right now we are basically a bunch of bullied 11 year olds in the school playground and that will continue with the existing roster for the near future until changes are made .

They problem with Lemieux is that he thinks he’s more than a 4th liner but doesn’t produce. Was given chances here. Have to find the abrasive type elsewhere.

I hope some Wagner or some gritty depth player decides to go after one of Lafy, Kravtsov and or Kakko only for the Rangers teammates yo skate away. this soft mentality needs to disappear and it has been hear since AV

I have no problem with the hit on Kreider.....was a clean hit that needed no fighting because of it . However....it would have been nice to have witnessed a huge hit on an Islander defender or Barzal/Beauville just to say here is our answer in return....outside of Trouba and Lindgren we don't have anybody else that is interested in that role . Gauthier could get a 3 million dollar a year salary if he would be more aggressive . We don't need goals from him....we need hits and muscle along with speed. He could be a part of this club for 6 more years if he focused on that .

It did go away. This team had a solid bit of bite last year. Hell we led the league in fighting major which isn't necessarily the be all end all of grit, but it was there. We've even seen it in spurts this year.

Thats gone away a bit since DeAngelo DeAngelo'd, Lemieux was traded and Staalardi decided he would rather float around than do anything meaningful. There does need to be an emphasis on adding more diversity to the roster, the good thing is our FO loves those extra stuff and things (bad news is they love it a bit too much, so hopefully they bring in the right guys.)

It's another reason why I shake my head when people are dying to lock in our current roster on long term deals.

Agreed!
I thought Rooney would provide some abrasiveness and stand up for his teammates more...what I see is a guy who thinks he can score..

Made the mistake of going to the main board. Now getting into arguments about why the Rangers should trade Kakko or Laf for Eichel.
