I doubt lee's coming back this season. Well see I guess
I pray not
He had an ACL tear and surgery what 2-3 weeks ago? Even if he finished rehab in 3-4 months (playoffs could be over by then) they would be crazy to throw him back into playoff hockey with higher risk of re-injuring the ligament. I think the playoffs start May 11 or around there. That would only be about 6 weeks post-op. no way he would be ready.

100 bucks to your favorite charity says they'll be out by round 2.
Who in the East right now inspires that much confidence (maybe a super healthy Boston???) Would like to know who they play round 3. If they lets say played the Leafs i would say it would be a toss up series. Leafs goaltending still questionable even if Campbell has been lights out so far.

Tampa and Colorado are two teams that are super talented and without many holes If Grubauer can stay healthy.
Every other team has holes including Vegas.

That team is still really untalented as a whole. They're really a splitting image of alot of those Trots Nashville teams - They always went to the dance but never came close to going home with the Prom Queen.

A healthy Boston would be a nightmare matchup for them.

Just comparing them against possible competition. I think they take care of Wash and Pitt. A healthy Boston with a mix of experience and good goaltending could make it a 6/7 game series toss up.

I don't know that they take care of Washington either.

I know they had some nice games against them recently, but they also got smacked around by them earlier this year. Thats a toss up series where I'd probably lean Washington, it's the one matchup where I think Chara would actually be semi useful.

How are the islanders only just starting to be good, and they are already one of the oldest teams in hockey? Their window is going to be closed again after a year or two.

gotta think the faster you sell the better it is. Only so much cap space available for teams to use to acquire players. Devils retained 50% on over $10M combined salary to one of the only teams with that much space. I think a few more trades are bound to trickle in within 24-36 hours.

I take the Isles over any team in the east. Pitt, Washington, Boston... none inspire confidence.

Carolina and Tampa I would take over the Isles... but i think the Isles come out of the East
