I'm in awe at the way the TB forwards are able to create seams in a collapsing Isles Defense to create point blank opportunities. I'd say teams should study the tape, but it seems like skill meeting experience and instinct.

I noticed this too. It's like they are picking lanes and seams that are unexpected rather than going into the ones that the Isles want them to

It’s the speed that they forecheck and play with. That is what separates Tampa form everybody else. They execute like our team on fast forward

The only reason it made sense to trade McDonagh was so we didn't have to give him a long term contract only to turn around and trade exactly what we got from Tampa for Trouba and give him the same exact contract we would have given McDonagh.
