Only positive I can take on this season is at least we didn't make the playoffs to shit the bed. Imagine being Colorado absolutely rolling then gets embarrassed. Or Toronto cruising all year, going up 3-1 and losing to the worst team in the playoffs. Or Vegas shutting down Colorado to lose to the Canadiens. Or Tampa going to Game 7 against the Islanders, out play them, and maybe lose.
 
Doesn't this happen in soccer too? Hell in the NFL it kind of happens by teams that get a lot of turnovers clamp down in the red zone.
It certainly can, but with all the players and the big field, you have to fight a long ass way to get the ball down the other end barring a big mistake.

A hockey team can have the puck 40% of the time and they'll still get good chances.

But I'd rather watch that than a game where one team gets no good chances.
