There were rumors of it not sure how real. We did try to pry him away with the McD deal.


The moves we have made have been good. But all the people we targeted and didn't get for whatever reason gives me confidence. Point, Petterson, we had Heiskenen ranked high, keller, zegras

I can't imagine this being a sweep tho...just can't. Islanders are pretty resilient team. Bolts tho look ridiculously impressive tho. So maybe resilience won't be able to over take sick talent....we'll see. I still see this series going 6 hopefully not 7.

Because they are the ones who drafted him at that position. They got him even when they decided to pass on him four times. It's really that simple. They drafted Kucherov in the 2nd. Palat in the 7th. Can you admit they have good scouts or do you have it in for them?

Trotz could only ever take a similar Nashville team so far. When you get to this stage of the playoffs you need star players to win you games.

it’s why we got so close and yet couldn’t win. We had no stars

What’s scary is I think at times Tampa has been a little sloppy. I think they can play even better than this. The skill and skating is just too much for the Islanders to handle.

No, I consider getting Point luck and not good scouting.

If the Tampa scouting department was so good, they wouldn't have passed on Kucherov to pick Namestnikov instead

Point panning out is more likely due to luck than an AMAZING scouting department.

Tampa probably has a good scouting team, but let's not pretend that it's godly.

This has been a glorious game. Islanders getting embarrassed on the ice and their cocky fan base muzzled, crying and whining as we speak as I just read a few snippets to see how bad it was....it's bad!...lol

Agreed. Rangers definitely need some more sand paper in the lineup. Lemieux and Smith is hardly enough.

Ironically a Blake Coleman would be the perfect guy I'd want on this team of ours.

Well yeah it kind of is. It's early tho. Next game will be an indicator if your prediction that this is going to be a quick series is right or if my thoughts this is going 6 or even 7. I really don't see Islanders going down 2-0 but if they do...your probably going to be right....we shalt see.

For one night tho...this is exactly what I wanted too see....Bolt domination and Islanders wondering WTF is going on...lol

Lot of our kids just need to mature. They will naturally man up a bit as they become well men. We’re soft because we’re very young. I expect that to start to change and I expect us to get harder to play against.


Isles fans crying that they need more high end talent to compete. Not sure how they expect to get it with all those long term contracts lol

Isles need more high end talent? Crippled by bad long term deals for mediocre/bad players?

Who could have seen this coming? Absolutely no one, I guess. But...ya know...'best fourth line in hockey' is something they can all get together and cheer about.

Well they have enough guys for like five of them, one was bound to be good I guess
