Yeah its awful I guess i'll have to cheer for Philly to win because I can't stand seeing the Islanders advance. I was in Montauk this weekend and some dingus was flying a plane carrying an "Islanders ON TO ROUND 2!!!" banner behind him, made me want to puke. So just hope the Flyers win and then get their shit pushed in by Boston/Tampa in round 3.

Piles fans do that every time they advance a round which has been few and far between the last 30 years. I'm surprised they are not planning the parade route yet. They have taken full advantage of the teams they have played, a lousy Florida team and a clearly slow and declining Caps team that played most of the series without Backstrom. I'm not that impressed with Philly either tbh. They didn't look great against Montreal but managed to advance. The 2 best teams in the east are playing in the other series and the Piles will never get past either of them, especially Boston.

So are Bergeron and Marchand. Being able to get difference making players after the first round is something we need to improve upon.

We've had no luck for a long time then.

Also I don't think you can slobber over the Bruins drafting with out bringing up how they had 3 picks in the top 15 in 2015 and completely beefed 2 of them.

Ah yes, the same Boston FO that in the very same draft that netted them Bergeron, went and traded down out of the 16th slot (for the 21st, 66th and 107th OA picks) with Getzlaf, Parise, and Burns still on the board. Then they chose Mark Stuart at 21 with Kesler and Mike Richards still on the board.

I'm just saying if people are going to cherry pick how Bergeron was such an awesome get, I'm gonna cherry pick how they could have had any of the above all-star players in addition but passed. Some luck is involved either way.

Oh...psst. The guy who was in charge of the 2006 draft that netted Marchand (via draft day trade up btw) along with Phil Kessel, Milan Lucic, Tuukaa Rask (via trade) is somebody who the Rangers are very familiar with...

Avs have a great young club...let's hope we can find a couple of GM's to trade us guys like Kadri and Graves very integral parts of that Av team....add them to a Ranger roster and stick on 8-10 more wins .

You can add one of Pitts goalie to the list of avail goalies this summer as Rutherford basically confirmed it. It’s just one more guy better than hank that will be out there.

f***ing Philthy is done.

They have no idea what just hit them right now..Ughh

The islanders have been past the 2nd round and on to the Eastern Conference Finals (and lost) exactly once in the last like 35 years but you wouldn’t know it if you read about the islanders right now. You’d think they were the model franchise.

Their most valuable asset is their head coach.

This reminds me of an AV Rangers Islanders game where at 6:45, we are just asking to match their intensity, then go out and gets outshot 20-2 in the first period.

we won’t be reading about it much longer.

they did what they wanted to do, but the Flyers were horrendous in that period. So many unforced errors.

AV is a shitty coach. Nothing has changed

Wonder what this Islanders team would play like with Quinn behind their bench.
