As much as the Stars were probably over matched from the get go, this series really feels like they just laid a giant egg despite significantly better potential. There were stretches in each game where Dallas absolutely dominated. About one 10 minute stretch per game. They really just... had a massively inconsistent playoffs and chose the worst series to be totally flat in.

I think there's a lot of parallels between them and us in '14. They've been 'in' basically every game, but haven't been able to get results when they needed to

I'm not so sure that's true either. It was a bad marriage from the beginning.
Was it though?

The Rangers screwed him over. It’s business but let’s call it like it is

Shattenkirk’s experience with us is going to be used by agents for a decade about why you never take a discount in this cold hearted business

Dammit, I want to watch the Finals, not read the Marc Staal got traded thread.

btw Marc Staal got traded*!!! :partytime:

*with no retention, pending the usual full term reveal in 2 days.

As much as Tampa has outplayed Dallas, how many games is this listening to the announcers talk about blatantly wrong calls by the refs, going against Dallas? Obviously these last two, both in OT but they haven’t been the only ones. Inexcusable. Even if they even out over the course of the series, blatantly wrong calls at pivotal times like this are inexcusable
