Right off the top of my head, Gretzky, Lemieux and Orr were other-wordly in their talents.

I mean there's the curve, and there's whatever seperate plain of existence those three were on in comparison to their peers.

I think McDavid compares well to Sidney Crosby, and is certainly a generational talent, but most talented or greatest offensive talent ever? Eh, not quite.
I have never seen anyone do what McDavid has done/does. Orr may be considered similar.

He is a better talent than Crosby. He's not a complete player like Crosby

The physical package that McDavid brings is the best in history... Skating, agility, hands etc. I'm not saying he's the best player in history but the best physical talent

Hopefully everything is ok & it was just a precaution.

the fact that he was alert and moving his limbs is great news. he might have been knocked out but I don't think he moved and didn't even give the thumbs up to his teammates. scary stuff but hopefully he's ok...

also cause its 2020, he will have to quarantine after returning and pass 4 tests.

Ha, the MSG ticker showing that "Jake Muffin" was sent to the hospital made me at least crack a smile after the past week.

Yeah, but comparing McDavid in 2015-2020 to Gretzky in 1979-1999 when it comes to their physical attributes isn't really fair because hockey (and any sport) back then wasn't as serious as it is today in terms of training, eating regimes etc.

If you compare players 1 for 1, a lot of players in today's NHL are better athletes than Gretzky was in his prime, the same way a lot of footballers today are better athletes than Pele in his prime in the 1960s.

I would compare them in terms of how dominant they were. McDavid is the best player in the world now, but he's not "winning the Art Ross trophy based on assists alone" dominant like Gretzky was for the majority of a decade.

Uhhhh... Ovechkin???

Shout out to Florida for this

They know they're done, and are putting in their less experienced players for today's game to see what they got
