eh it’s not that big of a deal. The Devils don’t tend to draft well and Nolan Foote isn’t a top prospect. Maybe he ends up a player for them but now with Coleman gone and Palmieri and Vatanen on the block, they have a horrible team of scrubs and kids. They would have to hit on so many picks just to get back to relevant status. And I don’t trust that they will. As long as they don’t win anymore god damn lotteries...

Not sure this is the right thread, but... the other day I was listening to the tampa radio broadcast of the Lightning/Flyers game. Our very former GM and color commentator Phil Esposito is still doing color there. I was actually surprised to hear him on.

I had to mention because it feels like you're listening to a Will Ferrell sketch. Just a grumpy old fan who constantly grunts every time the Lightning make a mistake. Goes off on the Refs constantly. And I can only imagine what's going through the play by play guys mind the whole time whose trying to make everything sound professional.

Based on how things have been trending, would not be surprised if we end up with more points than them.

That bug run to start the season buoyed them into thinking they could contend again, now I don't think they're favored to get into the playoffs.

BTW The Rangers '94 Cup run 2 hour documentary has been on NHL Network and I'm watching it for the thousandth time and it still gives me chills that whole run from the loss to the Ducks early in the season to the win vs the Canucks to win the Cup.

Man those were some amazing memories. And by the way I contend and no one can convince me otherwise that that Ranger Devils ECF 7 gamer was and is the best playoff series I've ever seen in any sport ever.

wish I was old like you and got to experience that. sigh.... I started watching in 1997 and came of age in the dark ages.

Tonight is what IMO will be a preview of this years Cup final as Tampa heads to Colorado in what should be an awesome game. Looking forward to watching it after I watch the Rangers win the Cup again in '94...lol
