Boy the Jets look sound.
Jealous.

And yet the funny thing about the Winnipeg Jets is that at 5v5 their xG% is 22nd best 48.8% (also below 50% when score adjusted), they have the best PP% in the league, and they have the best save percentage in the league with the best goalie in the league so far.

I.e. the exact formula the Rangers have had in recent years that everyone hates and says you can't win with.

That formula will fail miserably in the playoffs just as it always does.

The captains dropped the gloves.
Heh.

Hellybuck has now kept the puck out of the net for over 188 minutes.

Mean reversion is going to hit them hard

How much do I care about OV's career goals? Not at all. PPG: 1. Gretzky 1.92 / 35. OV 1.09

Dallas up 6-0 after one period in Pittsburgh.

Makes me think that Sullivan might not be around very much longer and maybe some trades as well. It's falling apart there.

They have a good system in Carolina. They are the anti-Rangers

And yet they got eliminated two of the last three years by the Rangers in the playoffs. Either we accept that playoff hockey is random and in which case the Rangers were a top team in the regular season last year but also Carolina is great, or we put a lot of emphasis on playoff hockey and Carolina is a perennial disappointment.

Didn’t say they’re great.

They have a good system. Rangers have edge in individual talent and that’s what won out those 2 times, barely lol. But a team with system + talent beats us every time
