anyone watching the Kings feed? did Tyutin change his the way his name is said.. is it Tootin or Tiyutin??

11 shots for Columbus, thankfully this one is almost over.

Good effort last 90 seconds by the Jackets, almost tied it.

Yup. Grass is green, sky is blue, Devils fans obsessed more about the Rangers than their own team. Nothing new.

I was just having fun. You guys are well on your way to being where your should be. Way too good a roster, goalie and coach to keep treading water. Youll be in the running, in my humble, as non biased as I could be, opinion.

Never watch a Kings game on the Kings feed. It's apparent how not only the fans don't know hockey, but the announcers are clearly demented.

Play-by-play kept calling Tyutin, "Tee-ootin"

I wanted to shoot myself.

Guy's only been in the league for like 8 seasons. :shakehead The arrogance, ignorance, and laziness of some announcers (and experts) astonishes me. They don't even try to get a player's name right. Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe it. It's like saying "your last name isn't Johnson so it's not worth my time finding out how it's pronounced". There are still idiots that don't know how to pronounce Hasek after a HOF career! It disgusts me.

Sam specifically finds out how each player likes their names pronounced. Most announcers don't want to be bothered. That's pretty much NA syndrome. You don't speak perfect English? You weren't born here? Your name isn't Bob Johnson? You're inferior to me and not worthy of my respect.

Devils just keep finding a way, with a roster probably half as talented as the Rangers on all facets except goaltending.

Very depressing. :(

Really? I think the Devils have a much deeper offense. Better high end talent (Elias, Kovalchuk) and better depth players (Gionta-Carter-Bernier AKA Devils 4th line feasts on our team)

Wat?

Feasting on the Rangers do not make them more talented overall. It's a good 4th line, but the way our 4th has been playing since Powe got here, I would say they're comparable.

Elias and Kovalchuk are not better than the Rangers high end talent. Nash is better than both, Kovalchuk is slightly better than Gaborik, and Richards and Elias are similar players, when Richards isn't sucking a huge peepee.

The offense is probably closer than half-as-talented, but their defense is leagues worse, talent wise.

I'd disagree with all of that except that their 4th line feasts on us. We have better high end talent in Richards, Gaby, and Nash; and better depth in Cally, Stepan, Hagelin, Pyatt...

It just seems the difference between the two teams is how crisp their passing is and how uncertain our players seem to play. I really think its a lack of chemistry on our team that's killing us as well as a few players not exactly grasping the Torts way of playing. We need to have a more in your face, up the ice mentality except we play defensive, dump and chase hockey which tires the boys out and creates very few scoring chances.

Devils use the middle of the ice, we use the boards.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are much more talented than the Rangers. True story. Your hate for the Rangers is so amazing. Seriously they're probably the worst team of all time.

I don't think so. Powe has played well, but they haven't really scored any timely goals or forechecked the **** out of the opposition like the Devils 4th line has consistently done since being put together in the playoffs.

Elias and Kovalchuk are not better than the Rangers high end talent. Nash is better than both, Kovalchuk is slightly better than Gaborik, and Richards and Elias are similar players, when Richards isn't sucking a huge peepee.

Nash is better than Kovalchuk and Elias? wow. What is your claim for this? His inferior career production? Kovalchuk is on another level ahead of Gaborik, he controls the flow of the game while Gabby strikes when the time is right. Nothing wrong with that, but Kovalchuk makes a much bigger impact on a team's game. Comparing Elias to Richards (right now) is a joke. He is IMO, a top 3 2-way player in the game. I only have Datsyuk and Bergeron clearly ahead of him. Now factor in his offensive production and he is a superstar player.

The offense is probably closer than half-as-talented, but their defense is leagues worse, talent wise.

Their defense is pretty underrated. They had top 4-dman Henrik Tallinder and top prospect Adam Larsson riding the pine in the pressbox. #1-8, they have 6 top 4-dmen and 2 very good bottom pair guys. I take the Rangers high end talent on defense over their depth though.

Wang looking to sell the Islanders... Maybe...

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/business/wang_got_an_island_ers_to_sell_you_fr5G1LnsjlNKje6m8xHezN

The New York Islanders appear to have started a new effort to find a buyer, The Post has learned.

Owner Charles Wang has been in talks with The Raine Group, a Manhattan investment bank, regarding the sale of the money-losing team, two sources said.

Talks between Wang and Raine are said to be preliminary and the team owner hasn’t hired Raine — so the effort could lose steam.

An Islanders spokesman said there is no truth to the story. Raine could not be reached for comment.

Completely disagree about talent, but agree about the system play. Kovalchuk and Elias are better forwards than any of the Rangers have easily. Zajac, Zubrus, Henrique, Clarkson, Josefson, Ponikarovsky are all gritty players (some with size) that are good at both ends of the rink.

I can't entirely blame Torts however, I think we expect too much from our top players (Richards, Gaborik). Fans expect both players to create scoring chances out there, but they're both players that play quietly and still put up the points.

No hate, but emotionally invested with this sports team like no other.

Dude, I'm not sure you actually watch any hockey.

I cannot even argue with such a delusional assessment. They are both good players, but come on.

I honestly think you do not even believe half of what you post and just play devil's advocate out of boredom, or to stir the pot.
