don't think Eiserman skates like Conner at all. Interest prospect we have, certainly has some flair for the big stage at the WJC and now the beanpot tourney. Good signs and good overall freshman year. Hope he takes the next step soon

Eiserman doesn't remind me of Connor at all. And imo Eiserman has the stockier build. Connor was understood to be an exceptional athlete (relative to *his* peers) pre-draft, with the hope it would develop into goal scoring (which it did). Kind of like a young, but very raw Stamkos.

Eiserman is such a throwback player. That's one of the reasons why he's so hard to project. The only players his game seems comparable to are all time greats, but he obviously suffers from those comparisons. But, you know, Luc Robitaille was drafted in the 9th round so it's a weird deal. But he's got an idiot savant thing going on, that's for sure. He's nuts. That's why he's reminiscent of guys like Brett Hull and Luc Robitaille. He also looks a bit like Dale Hunter when he gets worked up ffs. But those aren't predictions. Uncertainty level is high.

Just for the record, what I wrote was:
<<<
I'm hoping Eiserman will be for the Isles what Kyle Connor is for Winnipeg.
<<<

Meaning, I'm hoping he'll have the kind of impact for us that Connor has for Winnipeg.

No style/scoring/skating/etc. comparison was made.

Gidlöf has won 3 straight for Leksands in the SHL.

6-3, 3-1, 3-2

His SHL stats to date are:

I felt like venting about him myself. It worries me that his stock skyrocketed in his draft year and many comments were that it was because he started to take hockey seriously for the first time. Maybe he just went back to not caring. Now that I think about it Aleksi Malinen who you guys drafted in 2021 from JYP retired after last season apparently because of motivation issues. Maybe it's something in the water a.k.a the JYP organisation. I feel like the sooner Pulkkinen makes the jump to North America the better. Maybe it's better to get away from home. Just my feeling. I don't know the guy.
I saw he got pulled back up to JYP last game but again looks like it was very sheltered role , low ice time

Do you think that he will come over to play in Bridgeport next season?
He’s still young. Should probably stay at least another year or 2 in Europe.

Gamzin could possibly come over but with the emergence of Hogberg who looks like Varlys replacement as Sorokins back, I think Gamzin stays in the KHL as well for at least another year or 2.

Only thing is he’d likely want to be given a chance to compete for the backup spot instead of riding the buses.

Gazmin I think already said he is coming over via his agent.

Lot college hockey last night but not the usual prospects on the score sheet

Providence beats BU 6-3: Machu assist and Bednarik assist

Wisconsin loses 4-1 to Ohio State: Schulz assist

Been checking out the London Knights a lot in recent months and I have to say that this may be one of the deepest, highest class teams I've seen at the junior level.

It looked like they were going to have a real nice team without Barkey, Cowan, and possibly Dickinson, but they're all there. And then the team is otherwise absolutely loaded.

I mean heck, even Jon Sim's son looks like a future 4th liner at the NHL level and there are upwards of 8 other forwards there that seem even more destined for NHL play.

And as mentioned before, the addition of Montgomery has been just brutal for other teams. He's been a beast.

Now, I mention all this because it looks like London likely wasn't the best choice for Jesse Nurmi. Looked like it when the belief was that last year's team was losing some of the biggest cogs. But the team is just too deep for him to get much more than scraps and even though he contributes here and there, he's definitely a casualty of the numbers game when it comes to getting prime time opportunity.

On the other hand, he is surely learning a lot about being in a serious organization that knows how to win. And hopefully he's learning a lot by being with guys like Cowan, Barkey, and Haltunnen day-in and day-out. That all factors in.

But what I've seen there just gives me no read whatsoever on what he could have otherwise done on many other CHL teams with a more prominent role.

He's solely a supplementary player there and it's not like he hasn't already made that impression elsewhere in his young career.

***
He may be small but this kid Denver Barkey is an absolute winner and sparkplug who simply toys with the opposition. I thought Cowan was the real stud there and yes, he kinda was last season. But Barkey just has "it" and he seems to have just enough wheels that the skating isn't gonna hold him back as much as some had thought.

Keep that name in the back of your head.

Spoiler: He's a Flyers draft pick.

I think Nurmi would be closer to a PPG player on a lesser team in a bigger role, I agree being around a world class organization in London is going to be a positive either way.

Can’t stand Dale Hunter for obvious reasons but he and His brother run the Knights as well or better than any major junior organization.
