I seem to remember there was a poster here hyping Boqvist to be the greatest D prospect in the history of history. Very insistent to this if I recall correctly too.

Know it alls don’t always know it all.

Boqvist is a PP specialist with a dubious gym work ethic. He'll be back in now that Werenski got injured. K. Johnson is talented but also about 50 pounds on a team overflowing with wingers.

Vincent is a huge believer in work ethic and hustle from what I've seen, kinda similar to PL.

Boqvist and Johnson being scratched reminds me, we haven't whined about Dylan McIlrath and Lias Andersson enough yet.

watching the devils keep saying that the rangers are their biggest rival

Ken Daneyko is also hilarious. "Well, that's a judgement call and Chico, as you know, Confucius said, we must give mankind the benefit of the doubt but apparently this ref, this rookie ref, he doesn't believe in that, so."

not impressed with Devils at 5v5. AZ has been working them. They're on a b2b but could this be Brunetteless Devils?

The Yotes have done a good job of attacking the slot area with bodies and the puck. Get that Blimp goalie the devils have to move and you score.

Devils PP is nasty tho
yeah, they are great with space.

I think they have elite talent. Hughes is an absolute gamebreaking talent.... but I do not think they're built for winning. Just my opinion.

We, as in the Rangers, skewed that perception because we choked with embarrassing performance. It's more about us being bad than them being good. I just do not see them getting by certain teams. They do not have the goaltending, defense or grind to their game to rely on special teams.

Mike Rupp should stop eating tide pods

rupp is awesome, very down to earth guy and you can see his genuine passion for the game in any comments he makes. on this one in particular, i'd be pretty surprised, but it's not that crazy. i mean jarry has been a real solid regular season goalie - wouldn't put him in the vasi/igor/ilya tier but he's been consistently good for years now and prob in the next tier down. he's gotten injured at the wrong times/had a real rough playoff series that sort of overshadow how solid he's been along with playing in the shadow of crosby/malkin/letang.

personally i don't think that pens team is complete enough or will be good enough defensively to give him any chance, but if you're a fan of what they did to their roster i don't think it's crazy to think he could be good enough behind that to squeeze into the conversation. esp considering awards tend to have their convo gravitate towards the unexpected player having a career year.

so yea i don't see it, but i could see why someone could go there. he's also routinely been very complementary of the rangers in his comments in general. also one of the few media faces who's consistently stood in for laf and kakko and saying it's way too early to write them off.

Wasn’t Kent Johnson drafted as a center? It’s not like the Jackets have quantity and quality center depth. If Johnson is available for trade, I bet teams would be interested
