Devs can't even say jack had shoulder surgery without verbally massaging his entire family, representatives, agent, and his brothers Quinn and Luke and their father's pastor from 1987. I've never seen a medical tweet tweeted like that.
I don't know about you, but I'll definitely pay to never see him play as well after the procedure.

We still worried about the Flyers? Team has been running on fumes for a while now. No goalie. Plus they have one good forward (Konecny) and one decent dman. I don't care what the analytics say.

1 point up on Dallas for the President's Trophy with 3 games to go for each team. Dallas has all home games remaining vs WPG, SEA, STL. Jets are still fighting for home ice with Colorado and hopefully will give them a tough game. SEA and STL with nothing to play for.

We control our own destiny here but probably will need to win out to lock it up.

Houston is like the 5th or 6th largest city in the USA. I feel like someone from there must have shat in Bettman's sandwich. Such a big market that repeatedly gets ignored.

NHL has been burned too many times by Sun Belt cities.

Soon for them, Fertitta group met with the NHL this week.

Atlanta and Houston will be next two expansion cities while SLC will be a relocation.

I have to wonder what is better, being an expansion team, or a relocated team. I have to assume, an expansion team.

According to Friedman in his Sportsnet article, the deal for Arizona --> Utah could be done by next week (April 18th)!

It's not about ignoring Houston, Utah has an owner ready to take on a team right now. Houston doesn't. They could have soon, but they don't right now. This is similar to when Atlanta went to Winnipeg. I guarantee you Winnipeg wasn't the first choice for Bettman and the owners, but they were ready to facilitate the team immediately.

In general, probably expansion because relocating teams are usually a huge mess on ice as well. And the Coyotes have been for a long time, but they are actually starting to turn it around a little bit I think. So maybe it's not that bad actually?

Atlanta failing had everything to do with the ownership group. Atlanta Spirit Group (ASG) only wanted Philips Arena and the Hawks, but were forced to buy the Thrashers as part of the deal. Time Warner didn't want to sell the Thrashers in a separate deal. They did everything they could to force the NHL to accept a relocation by actively tanking that team.

Add into the mix that the Thrashers were set up to fail by the absolutely awful expansion draft rules. Teams were allowed to protect 9F/5D/1G. They had absolute garbage to choose from.

Atlanta is the largest metro in the south. There's no way a team won't succeed there with a good ownership group and the same expansion draft rules Vegas and Seattle had.
