He's not played well enough to be stapled to their top 6. If he was at 50/55 points and they were limiting his ice, then you'd have a case but at 25 points in 20 games, no shot. Nils is not gonna suddenly go early season Quinn Hughes. Just no shot.

I wouldn't even bother asking. The fact that the Rangers used that pick to trade for rental-Tarasenko kind of makes it just a big whatever burger in my book. Maybe having that picked saved us from trading our 1st pick (Perrault) but I would like to think the Rangers make that trade work in some other way. The Rangers tend to draft well in the 20s so wasn't a fan of trading that pick. Actually though Mikkola was more impactful than Tarasenko.
