TWO teams coming to Atlanta!!!!!!!!So what major news story does the NHL plan to release tomorrow 20-30min after the police press conference?
"Synergy"Julien would be our first line center
He has potential. I've joked about it and compared him to a WWF Attitude Era wrestler (for those wrestling fans who remember, they limited the in ring work and essentially all had like 2-3 signature moves they'd do every match): he has his speed move and beat the goalie on the side he uses like 4-5 times a year. If some coach could get him to backcheck and learn defense better, he might turn into a Sjostrom-type.I feel like Gauthier is similar to Brendan Lemieux in that we were all salivating at the thought of what he could be instead of what he actually is. He's an excellent skater, full stop. That's the extent of his NHL level skillset. It'd be nice if he was a huge, strong version of Hagelin, but he isn't.
I mean nobody saw that coming. He's been putting up such monster numbers.Kuznetsov enters player assistance program

Lemieux isn't exactly a smart person.
Either him or Byram. If zegras is still malcontent, and I can see it for kakko, I honestly don't see how this doesn't result in kakko getting the ice time and role he wants in Anaheim and zegras coming home. Same age same draft. It's destiny.
I just dont see where Zegras fits into this this lineup. Its more skill, yes, but also no grit or any defensive acuman which is already a bug problem for us.Either him or Byram.
All 3 are from the same draft and and struggling this year with injuries and just general suckiness.

Ducks are going to want a similar trade with Drysdale but a much bigger return since Zegras has two 60+ point seasons on his resume'. They would want a player around his age that is a potential Top pairing D. I think they have a lot of faith in Carlsson and McTavish being the 1-2 C's down the middle, plus Gauthier looks very promising from watching the BC games to be their Sniper and lastly have Troy Terry who is looking like himself again. So I do see him possibly being pushed out in a couple of years, just not now though.
Picks won't get it done for Zegras. May even cost Gabe Perreault. Zegras is not good on Defense. but he is going to be a 70-80+ point Top 6 player in the league. Whether it's on wing or C not sure.
Not to sound like a jerk, but Kakko does not get Zegras.
Just to add, The Rangers need a Two-way C, Zegras does not fit the needs of the Rangers and they don't have a Top pairing D in their system to make that trade happen.
Might as well keep Perrault if that's the cost but ya, I know the value is off if it's kakko and smaller pieces and picks. Nothing else good in the NYR D pool to entice the ducks.
I think Henrique is a strong possibility but his cost will be a 1st round pick, question is does Drury feel this team is just a 2C/3C away from contending? I don‘t think so.
That's not DruryThe question is does Drury care? Imo the odds are larger that he will splash for the sake of splashing and "fan excitement". I doubt he'll sit pat. If he doesn't splash that's the same as saying he'll do a sizeable retool in the summer. I think he'll go with the least resistance option.

and when talent isn't working , then they always resort to physical intimidation. The reason why Finland has usually done good with a less talented roster is the system and coaching. You should hope that with the way US Hockey program has been for years now, that this could give you and edge over the Canadians. Because they haven't changed one bit. They will rely on talent alone, the coach is there as a motivational speaker.
