You see, this year for the Devils is like the Rangers 92-93 season where they didn't make the playoffs, only to win it all the next year. This is a good thing, you see.

How is it a good thing if they win it all next year?

it’s wild that the devils were a Stanley cup contender solely based on beating us in 7. We should be honored. No one could’ve objectively looked at their defense and goaltending and thought they were a real threat in the Spring. Then again people thought Carolina and Edmonton were right up there. And we’re expected to go along with what the national hockey media says and thinks? Please. We know more than them.

Merry Christmas folks

You rarely see a team go from being a bad team to winning the Cup in one year. The 2010 Hawks are the exception. The Devils lost Graves and Severson on D. They aren't great players but they were experienced D. The Devils planned on the young guys to replace them. Hughes and Nemec are both excellent players. They are both very young players. First year pros. Hamilton is out. Some people that is a good thing. Hamilton is another veteran D off their team from last season. The Devils can't put Hamilton on LTIR and use the $9M on other players.

Brock Faber for the Calder. He is an exceptional player. He isn't a big D but he is a great player. 33 minutes tonight against Montreal. At least 30 minutes in his last 6 games. He didn't leave the ice in OT.

Tom Wilson took a few shots from Elvis.

All these decades later Elvis finally got some payback on Colonel Tom:sarcasm:

It'll be Bedard as it should be but Faber is a great player. Reminds me so much of McDonagh.

Remember catching heat for saying that Nils wasn't in his league back when Nils was getting all of the hype.

Avs have 4 PPG against Ottawa
That team is a mess. They couldn't hold a lead no matter how big it is. On paper they have some great talent. Young talent but doesn't mean crap when you can't commit to playing at both ends of the ice.

He is an impressive young player. The Kings have given up a few good young talents in Vilardi and Faber to go for some bigger name players.

Weegar falls on Leo Carlsson's leg. Leo can't put any weight on it while being carried off by 2 teammates.

Speaking of the Debbies…

Edmonton with xGF 5 on 5 of 2.6, actual goals given up = 6.

Lolololololol

But yeah fire Ruff 🤡🤡🤡

I was kinda wondering what kind of an effect Andrew Brunette had on that Devils team. He coached Florida to great regulation season success after having to take over a tough spot, goes to the Devils and they immediately become good. Well, it hasn't worked out in Nashville but that team is trash anyways.

They're currently in the top wildcard spot in the west and have a shot at finishing top 3 in their division.

I don't like his style of coaching but he's clearly had a positive impact there.
