We looked up his history as our coach (amateur club I’m affiliated with down here) had heard of him before. He’s led the league in PIM. The stats tell a story and I will leave it at that.

“It’s a joke,” Cizikas said to Andrew Gross of Newsday. “It’s a joke. That kind of stuff ticks me off. It really does. I’ve got no time for those fans. I’ve got no time for them."

“If they want to be like that, they can stay home, he added.”

Its a shame that its reached the level of arresting the guy.

But if anyone who was there felt it was done with a purpose or intent and there is sufficient evidence of that, then this is the avenue it has to take. Especially since it is said he has a history of not controlling his actions on the ice.

From the video I saw, it did not look like a normal hockey play. Ill leave it at that. Reckless behavior on all levels must be addressed.

Not sure if it has been said or not.....I'd have to read a 1000 posts I skipped past this week.......but Knoblauch went from one Ranger farm team to another Ranger farm team being the Oilers ! The old timers here would get that as everybody once upon a time called us the NY Oilers when we won the Cup with all the old Oilers.....thus the reference .

Just play Shinny hockey....no clock , no red lines or blue lines or icings . First goal wins . The going down to 3 guys per side and using the red/blue lines is foolish.....just get it over with or play 60 minutes and if tied it is tied....a point each . Or.....one shot in a shoot out each side after 60 minutes ....no changing ends or whatever ....just get it done . If they fail to score....a point for each club. Shooter must come from one of the 5 guys that finished the game for each club .
 
Islanders fans will start staying home more and Casey will have to pay for the losses out of his salary.

Thompson caught a nice skate blade kick to the skate from macavoya. sneaky dirty player, would make a great Ranger if he wants to come here to retire at 38 for league minimum.

Yea those changes would be stupid. I still don't like many of the rules since the 04-05 lockout. I don't like the trapezoid, I don't like the smaller goal crease, I don't like 3v3 OT, I don't like the tie point that makes random games worth 3 points while others are worth 2, I don't like eliminating the 2 line pass. Imagine how many more points Leetch would have had if there were no 2 line pass rule, how many more goals would Bure have scored, he was already a hanger.

Only rules I liked was making the attack zones bigger and neutral zone smaller. The current icing rules are fine to eliminate injuries.

I really don't like the ticky tacky penalties. What's called hooking, slashing, and holding is so dumb. There's no net front battle anymore because defenseman can't defend the front. Players are protected by dumb rules and can just camp in front of the goaltender now without earning that spot like they used to have to do.

The trapezoid... they want more offense and transition but stop goaltenders who are great puck handlers from being a factor in a team's transition and offense.

Stupid rules.

Both the Isles and Devs announcers do this. It was pretty obnoxious during preseason. Some of us like to get on Sam and Joe but they're pretty professional.
