GDT: 2024-25 season game 55 LA Kings vs Vegas Golden Knights @7:30pm 2/24/25

What the f*** did I just watch. Lol. That third was the best period this whole damn season. I'm all for a month break in the middle of the season baby. :laugh: Bustfield earning his name back as of late. 4 dimes tonight. Hot dayum. That pass to Foegele was naaaasty as hell. Kempe, Byfield, Fiala making me tingle down there.

Prime Fiala and prime Moore arriving for the final stretch. Doughty looking in form, helping the PP (like I callled ;)) Kopitar due to bust out of his annual dry spell. Might be peaking at the right time boys. A good trade deadline and I think they’re legit contenders.

On the Fiala goal man they were all pretty happy...Kempe just sat there waiting for Fiala to join the play then Kevin deked Pietro and Samsonov outta their jocks and roofs it,beauty

Whoa lets not OD on the hopium over there. This game was ultra satisfying to win considering who the opposition was tho.

What a player Kempe has become. I have a feeling Fiala and QB are going to unlock him even further. From the early looks of it, Kopitar’s pacing may have been holding him back.

They say the Kings are looking for some RWingers...who Rakell Rakell? Boeser? I like Daniel Sprong he's a great PP player and won't cost much if anything...otherwise the Kings could be giving up a 1st rounder this year for starters plus...

This has been building. Not based on just this game. Other than the tough road trip, and the SJ loss, they’ve been in every game.

With a piss poor PP I might add. I’m really thinking team is different and I also think EDM and the rest of the West are weaker this year.

I missed most of the 2nd cause it was time to walk our little dog but that 3rd was fun man...as a boy listening to Kings games on my Parents radio back in the early '70's I was always pumped when my heros won...just like today...I feel good about this team even though I'm older guy now
 
When the Kings drafted Turcotte I invisioned the youngster to be the numero due Centre for the Kings then turning Pro early...playing in the Minors and getting injured often I wasn't too confident things would turn around like have,good to see that he's stayed in the line up and has played with the Master in Kopi and develop chemistry with him and Kempe and is a team player not minding when the coach rolls different linemates...Go Turc Go!!!Go Kings Go!!!

But he scores and is Cheap...do you want the Kings to mortgage the Future and trade Greentree and our 1st rounder this year for a rental for a huge contract cause that's what some guys are carrying...and its a gamble cause some guys may be good but develop Zero Chemistry...ala PLD

That was set up by Gary Buttcrack Bettman cause if Vegas had had to go through growing pains they would have ended up in Kansas city or somewhere else

What an unbelievable 3rd period! 1st period was pretty good, Vegas taking control near the end. 2nd period was bad, Kemper kept it close. 3rd period was easily the best of the season.

If Fiala could play like that all the time, nobody would ever complain about him.

That third period felt like a fever dream, one where I wake up and the score is actually 5-2 the other way

4 assist game from QB, nice turnaround after a pretty bunk 1.5+ periods from him...team largely goes as he goes now.

Fiala-QB-Kempe is a cheat code...just have to wonder who is going to lug Anze's corpse around the rest of the year

That's a statement win vs. a good team BUT some cold water in the drawers...Samsonov is a bag of shit, I want to see us do that vs. a full strength VGK, but hanging a -4 on Pietrangelo in one period gives me StL flashbacks haha. You can only beat who is in front of you and the Kings took their lunch money tonight.

Reminded me a lot of the playoff series really. Vegas is a funny team. When they're clicking, they are absolutely unstoppable...but they have HUGE swings in play where we can dominate them similarly for stretches as well, each team takes turns making the other look completely inept.

I wonder if they actually keep that line together or if its something Hiller will just keep in his pocket to use situationally.
Also Id like to see them bring back Foegele-Turcotte-Laferriere and see if they still have chemistry. It was the best line for a bit and now that theres a top line and the Moore-Danault duo is getting back on track they can try it again. But then that leaves Jeannot-Kopitar-Lewis which I doubt would happen…
 
I was impressed that LA was able to push back when it felt like Vegas had taken over the game.

Moore is a solid player when healthy. I don't understand why he gets so much criticism around here. He only makes 4.2M.

Incredible pass by Byfield on that Foegle goal.

Big one for the Kings. I was very curious how the boys would come out after the break and I'm happy to say they look hungry and happy to be back.

This home record, along with shot suppression and goaltending, could really come in handy come April. Teams that take care of business in their own building, especially if they can do it for the final stretch of games, always give me a good feeling going into the playoffs.

I want Bluc and company gone as much as any of you but, selfishly, even marginal playoff success is that dopamine rush I've been craving for quite a few years now. I'm far from getting my hopes up, but the team is continuing some very encouraging trends.
