Florida is a weird team.
Excellent offensive depth, poor defensive depth despite having a pair of pretty underrated players in Montour and Forsling and unreliable goaltending.
They were 2 steps forward, 2 steps backwards the entire season before they rode a heater to get in.
These teams that "under perform" relative to expectations and still get in tend to be pretty dangerous (especially when said team has had the switch flip ala Florida.) Nashville during their finals run was similar (though that was injury based more so than anything else), the Blues when they won and found their game mid season, LA in 2012, etc. Felt like Calgary could have very well been that team this year too but they couldn't get out of their own way at the end of the season (they would have put up more of a fight than Winnipeg.)
I still think the Bruins win (They're not getting out of the EC though. They're likely toast in the next round) but I was surprised at how easy everyone thought it was going to be.
