That doesn't mean he was bad WHEN they won the cup. Guys end up like Jim Carey, Cam Ward, etc where they go from top 10 goalie to barely scraping a backup job. The idea is, don't let the notion of "any goalie in net can win a Championship" when you spend years building a contender only to fall flat because you neglected 1 position which can single handedly win or lose you games.
So then you might say they got hot out of nowhere?

Playoffs have been lackluster so far.

Last year the 1st round was great and it fell off after that. Hopefully it picks up soon.

Panthers game was pretty good last night. David and Goliath and all that.
It was one of the first back and forth games I've watched..

Haven't stayed up for the West Coast games, it seems like LA/EDM is the series to watch

Toronto has the opportunity to advance to the second round for the first time in 20 years and you can hear a pin drop in the arena.

Islander fans are some of the douchiest people on the planet, but at least they show up & make a shit ton of noise for their team. Win or lose, they give their team a ton of energy throughout the game. Can't say the same about our building.

that's the one thing I noticed when my pops and I went to go see Ducks vs Isles during Selanne's farewell tour (he didn't play. it sucked.). they're really friggin loud.

Granted tda wasnt great in his own zone, he was a great offensive pmd dman and a total prick on the ice. 2 things this team could desperately use

Untrue.

They were pretty dead in Game 3 (Except for the offensive outburst), definitely were quiet Game 4.

At least our fans would have booed them.
