Series is totally rigged for the Golden Knights. It's very clear whom the NHL wants to win. When Tkachuk gets whacked from behind or when Staal gets slashed in front of the referee, it's very obvious what the league is doing.

No they rather call bullshit like when igor slapped Meier after he intentionally fell on both his knees in the crease.

This play is such a nothing burger.

There were way more egregious things they let go in this game.

Good for the sport.

The NHL for the first time in your lifetime is no longer a better playoff sport than the NBA.
They can no longer make that claim.

Yes, the NBA regular season sucks and basketball sucks in general… But the NBA relies on the playoffs to be a great watch like the NHL once did for decades.

However, the NHL playoffs the last 7 years suck ass.

Vegas Carolina Miami Dallas ? These aren’t traditional hockey cities - too much expansion.

Can't speak of the NBA since I don't watch it, but the NHL playoffs since the Covid Cup been a big letdown, with the last two seasons particularly disappointing. As NYR fans, many didn't notice the drop pff last season because we were too distracted with our own playoff run. This year, however, has been an obvious shit-show with the officiating complete overshadowing the play on the ice. The Florida upset & subsequent run has been enjoyable to watch, but the bigger story by far, IMHO, has been the brutal officiating impacting just about every series.

There seems to be an implied link here between 'hockey cities' and good games, which seems weird at surface level due to location of a franchise not being linked to the teams/area where a player may have developed.
But I'm sure there's some interesting modelling that would expand it all...

Florida games/series have all been exciting.

Maybe the O6 and Canadian markets should just...do better. Get better management and build better teams.

What a strange thing to complain about.

Is Tkachuk really a guy you win with if he can't even get up to play for game five with the season on the line?

Totally unfair. I mean, you might be the only guy on the planet that's questioning this guys will and that's saying something.

He must be really hurt. The guys in the booth said it was noticeable just watching him walk.
