Oh, yeah, right. Rangers will send him to a division rival.

I'm saying the same exact thing. Literally. Karma is served.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking this way. The whole Nashville team plays dirty. Remember the game in Nashville when there were multiple headshots a few years back?

Karma is a bitch

Watched the French-Canadian broadcast of the WC yesterday, and in between periods the panel discussed how Kreider sliding into Carey Price was the definitive moment of the decade for the Habs (along with the Shea Weber trade). These guys just can’t let this go.

Yeah---well he didn't exactly slide into Price without a lot of help from the Canadiens defense. The stupid shit some of them were saying afterwards--'he was skating too fast!' for instance. Kind of what you do when you break through a defense. Kreider still got a shot off (it goes high and wide) as he was being taken down from behind which is kind of a tell that it was a hockey play and anyone who watches the replay should conclude from that that his focus was on getting a shot on goal not injuring Price.

After that episode I came to the conclusion that Montreal fans aren't as smart about the game as so many people say they are.

I could see that being one of the most significant moments of the decade for them. Even though it was clean, it may have altered the series and in turn their trajectory over the next several seasons.

It did but Kreider really didn't do anything wrong. He was busting through their defense with speed and he was getting tripped and slashed from two different angles. Price has never quite been the same since though. OTOH the Canadiens haven't really had that strong of a lineup. They were built around their goaltender---kind of like us. Even now their best D is Weber who is kind of old and guys like Danualt, Domi and Gallagher are good players but not really legit 1st line players.

Yeah these lists are always kind of build around hypotheticals. It's just a hypothetical scenario, what if that collision never happened? Would they have gone onto win a Cup? Would Price have remained elite? Etc. I don't think it mattered overall, but if you had to pick a singular moment that's probably what sticks out most. To me, anyway, though I don't follow other teams like I used to.

Just finished watching the Avalanche Blues game. Me thinks those two will be the last two standing middle of May and will play each other in the WCF.

Colorado dominated 7-3 and it wasn't even that close(lol) and of course MacKinnon leads the way with a 4 point night. I'm not old enough to remember Bobby Orr and so maybe he did this as well, but I can't think of anyone I've ever seen in 45+ years watching hockey who scares the shit out of opponents the way MacKinnnon does with his speed.

Just a phenomenal player and yes I'll say it again for probably the hundredth time, this is the year he wins the Hart!

They both play in the Central so that will be a 2nd round matchup. The fact this stupid playoff format will be around longer in a shame imo.
