For a team like the Rangers, and what they're trying to do, the difference between pick 28 and 50 (or whatever the hell it would be), is SIGNIFICANT.

Having another first round pick is a tremendous asset in this draft --- regardless of whether they use the pick, or package it in a deal.

I almost feel like the Rangers are playing a game 7 tonight.

I feel like the outcome of this game will determine whether or not they're going to be able to move up in the draft to the point where they can land a 2nd impact talent.

I really, really, really hope that this is the night that Binnington finally goes full pumpkin.

I’d say that wish is unlikely. he’s a legitimate 1 - and seems to truly want the pressure. He’s the antithesis of Jake Allen . If Dallas gets this thing done tonight, will need a good bouncer if Dallas gets this thing done tonight, we will need a good bounce or two. I do not see Binington imploding in this spot. If anything, so I could see the Dallas goalie situation go to hell early on. Only one way to find out.

Big game tonight for our franchise. I've watched plenty of Vikings on the History channel. Odin demands a sacrifice. Where is Webster?

Both goalies have been mostly good, but neither Bishop or Binnington are what you would call 'great' goalies.
The best thing that happened to the Blues recently was breaking loose of their horrid record of keeping bad goalies hanging around. Binnington is so much better than Allen, Elliott etc. At least he gives the Blues a fighting chance, unlike his wobbly predecessors.
Bishop can be a wall sometimes. Then you see his concentration lapse; sometimes he forgets fundamental things like putting his stick on the ice. Good lord, what a thing to forget.
Maybe both of them play great. Who knows?

The real difference in this game is probably outside the net.

Go Stars!
