Just realizing... Why do the Islanders get to rest in peace? I prefer they rest in pieces.

The "RIP" stands for Rest In Pieces, so the whole statement is Rest in pieces, in peace, Islanders.

Wtf is Philly doing? MT is an awful hire for assistant. And now they hire Mike Yeo? The same Mike Yeo who just got fired for having the worst record in the league at the time of his firing? And now that same team is one win away from the Conference Finals? Seriously Philly? Yeo literally looks like someone that has a funny face on South Park and gets made fun of for it. Hey I’m not complaining let Philly burn, just saying.

As a guy who’s eaten so many collar bones shots I can’t even count they hurt like hell. Never once did I ever roll around the ice like Neymar because of one. Especially if it didn’t break. It’s a stinger and he wears a collar guard so there’s no way he should have acted like that. The guy is an enormous baby always has been. Can’t stand bishop. Cost his team a goal there even if the ref prob should have blown it dead. That was embarrassing. Then he clearly still sore totally freezes when the guy winds up for the slap shot. Not because he couldn’t move his arm. Because he was scared of eating another one so he flinches. Seriously embarrassing. This guy is going to cost them the series. He’s had one good game in the whole series.

Edit: Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?

Chuck Fletcher knows Yeo from when they were together in Minnesota. And I think Fletcher was the assistant GM in Pitt when they had Therien.

That's all I got.

Three NHL head coaches behind the bench though...

They should just not have a head coach designation but have three associate coaches of equal weight (pun intended) and power. Sort of like when a team doesn't have a captain and goes with three As.

The goal where Bishop flopped, honestly the deflection on the shot went perfectly just under the cross bar and was roofed. Even if Bishop hadn't flopped there's a solid chance the pucks winds up in the net.

Looked pretty funny, a perfectly deflected roofer with no goalie in net. Waste of skills lol

Will see many eye rolls on the bench during timeouts and the play is drawn up. "THAT's what you're going with? *Snicker* Ok....I guess...."

Wow, hasn't this sport changed. Was a time there were no masks, as they were facing shots whizzing by their faces.
yeah, goalies used to flop around like sardines out of the water too. I was watching some network's top 50 goals of all time and some of the old goals, even in the Gretzky era are really like oof, some junior league goalies are better than this. Their technique and mobility were really unrefined and the shot quality was ok but they would get murderized by modern day shooters who can pick top corners on the backhand at extreme angles. I think the slap shot speeds increased from like 70 mph to 100 mph in the last 50 years too. I think since Al Iafrate days, the other hardest shots were all in the low 90s. Nowadays most players can get into the mid 90s and the top players are 100+ . I wonder what the average slap shot speed was in the 70s. Nowadays we also have these fancy flex sticks for maximum torque and refined shot techniques.

Hopefully some people get this
