I’m actually annoyed at the cake walk of a playoff run the Isles have been gifted so far. Hopefully Canes can close it out despite the injuries and that will 180 the narrative there.
You are aware that like 95% of pundits predicted them to lose to the Pens and almost all of them had it going 6 games or less? They didn't finish with the 5th best record in the league by accident, they are a very good team. Know who else is a real good team? Carolina. They may be the best team I've ever seen at sealing off the walls to prevent clearings and are an incredibly tough team to play. I just feel bad that my childhood hero Ronnie Francis got scapegoated and run out of town there because he left them with an amazing stockpile of young tallent and they will likely be a contender for the next decade.

I admit it`s mostly soccer for me these days, but 1-1 Dallas tied it! ;)
And who are interested in this game except some random Zuccarello fans, and part of New York city which involve picks in recent trades and Dallas Stars fans? :)

I am not into the Dallas series as much as I should be. I am not sure why. Heck, their team color is green, so should be a given, right? ;)

I’ve been watching the Columbus and Carolina series more. Like to see these teams in the ECF.

Anyway it`s a bit off topic, but I`m trying to explain ceiling for a soccer player and it`s not easy to explain for some people that some players develops at a different pace. And the pace of a player development is usually much different from other regions in the world and culture in South America compare to Europe for instant in soccer. And it`s a pattern that players develop quicker at a younger age in Brazil and Argentina compare to EU. But it`s similar in NHL and hockey - a player have a certain top ceilling and will reach it after years of hard work and dedication to the sport, but it`s not a huge difference if he is from US or EU in hockey. :)

You aren't the only team in New York rooting for the Stars because of a draft pick!

NBC needs to 86 Milbury ASAP and hire Sharp full time. He’s knowledgeable, has great presence and delivery and doesn’t come off as a booze-bag know it all who has won exactly nothing in his life.

The product in Sharp's hair has 1/8th the grease of a single Mike Milbury

Milbury is a national treasure. Guy is a triple threat. Who else can boast shoe whipping a fan, destroying an Islanders franchise, and making almost no sense for his entire broadcasting career?

That was some of the least convincing diving that I've ever seen.

Lindell is lucky that Bortuzzo got taken off too.
It was embarrassing. Really hate that crap. I have no problem with a little extra grimace when you get legitimately fouled but that was some Mighty Ducks (Take the fall. Act hurt. Get indignant.) type stuff...
