I'm not really convinced that you can judge either of these team's chances in the next round by what is showing here.
Just a case of me throwing out each series and looking at the next one as a complete unknown. that's just my personal take, as I haven't bothered to look at regular season results between the teams, for what that would be worth.
Maybe I misunderstood your earlier post about running on fumes. The viewpoint that I have is that the lack of sharpness in this game by both/either teams might or might not be an indication of how they would fare against a pretty fast and aggressive Islanders team.I’m not really projecting into the next round so much as looking at what it looks like is in the tank. You can see on the ice sometimes when teams just don’t have much left to give.
Unliked this post so I could like it again.Still don't understand why, with the insane amount of skill they have, NHL players even flirt with flipping the puck up near the boards
Agree to disagree. Canes were skating circles around the Caps. Breakouts were solid.Pace isn’t when they trade chances. Pace is when at least one team is on pucks quickly and moving pucks quickly. Neither team is doing that. The Hurricanes dominated the period there, but it was a matter of gassed vs more gassed.
It’s understandable at this point of the night, but it’s been this way since the 3rd period started. On the other hand, the Isles might be rusty at this point while the winner of this game might get re-energized, so who knows.
Yeah, to everyone on earth except Lucas Wallmark. Sorry, I'm still pissed about that.Holtby looks shaky as hell IMO
ill take nick backstrom with 1:15 left in the 2OT
