The 'Canes are fighting so hard to keep our hope of 18OA alive!

Gorton must of promised one of our 2020 7th rounders to of gotten this monster effort.

I stayed up to watch this overtime because I missed last night's epic game. This is going at least double OT. I have to get up at 5 for work, I can't fulfill that promise. I'm tapping out.

I'm stunned the Caps are having this much trouble with an undermanned Canes team. Letting Trotz go seems to have had a huge effect.
Canes are fast. This is the most attention I've paid to this team besides when they play us. They are fast and shifty.

I’ve been thinking this since early in the 3rd, but I’m not sure I see how either of these teams is going to beat the Islanders in the next round. Both are clearly running on fumes.

This is the worst kinda OT. No pace at all.

No pace because one team dominated. Pace is when they trade chances. But a well-rested Isles team will definitely take advantage of either of these tired teams

I'm not really convinced that you can judge either of these team's chances in the next round by what is showing here.
Just a case of me throwing out each series and looking at the next one as a complete unknown. that's just my personal take, as I haven't bothered to look at regular season results between the teams, for what that would be worth.

Pace isn’t when they trade chances. Pace is when at least one team is on pucks quickly and moving pucks quickly. Neither team is doing that. The Hurricanes dominated the period there, but it was a matter of gassed vs more gassed.

It’s understandable at this point of the night, but it’s been this way since the 3rd period started. On the other hand, the Isles might be rusty at this point while the winner of this game might get re-energized, so who knows.

Lirl see how much space Wallmark had to shoot there. Look at the Staal's goal, Holtby has let in some rough goals tonight. You have to shoot that.

I’m not really projecting into the next round so much as looking at what it looks like is in the tank. You can see on the ice sometimes when teams just don’t have much left to give.
