I don't want the vezina to get tainted by a bunch of scrubs with career sub 900 save percentages having fluke seasons

I don't think he's the best goalie in the league, but he seems to have proved himself enough here that I wouldn't call his performance this season a fluke.

My feelings exactly. In goalies, you look for consistency. Hank has probably been the most consistent goalie since the 05 Lockout. Every year, some scrub has a wonderful season, and is instantly proclaimed a top 5 goalie.

A bunch more? Hank was unlucky in 10/11. Thomas played dozen games less than Hank but he did have insane numbers. That was the only time you could say Hank was 'robbed'. Not sure where this 'bunch' stuff is coming from.

We've seen plenty of examples of players (Lidstrom and Brodeur for example) with long track records win awards because of their track record. If it can happen with other people I don't know it shouldn't happen with the best goalie since the lockout, especially against a guy who has proven absolutely nothing in the NHL. If players were actually chosen based on one season and reputation never played a role, I would have no argument. However since reputation does play a large part, I'll feel like Lundqvist is being screwed. I bet Bob falls back into obscurity next year.

While HFNYR does not look to bash other goaltenders for their play and achievements, we do defend the vastly superior consistency of play belonging to Henrik Lundqvist. To all those who enjoy the bandwagon and going with the flow, it is clear as day who they will still pick if they were to construct a team from scratch with whoever they want. Those who carry a negative and hostile attitude toward other teams in general and has a "your team sucks, my team is better because my team beat you team the last game" thrives off of bashing proven superstars their team would trade their future for.

Who cares what they say? If it is a fluke, then he'll fall back to earth next year and Lundqvist's numbers will continue to speak for themselves. Either way, Bob is having a good year and deserves consideration for the vezina.

The pitching in Colorado has a lot to do with the altitude and dimensions of the field. While their pitchers may have bad stats, their hitters also have good stats.

It's also similar with the Padres and their pitchers having abnormally good stats while their hitters very mediocre stats. (Outside of Chase Headley lol)

I don't think it's related with Philly and their goalies. It's just something within a goalies' genes that get altered when he puts on the Flyers black and orange. lol

I don't want to stray too off topic but, yes indeed. Last years defensive corps was well conditioned and cerebral. This year's group has looked downright inept through long stretches.
