Islanders remaining games: @ Carolina, @ Philly, @ Buffalo.. Sens remaining games: vs Pitts, @Wash, vs Philly, @ Boston (ouch).... Jets: @ Sabres, @ washington, vs canadiens.. Rangers: vs NJ, @ FL, @ Car, vs NJ.. I like our chances..

but the intangibles...

Not the intangibles- he's younger than Ovy and plays significantly better D at a harder position, and still consistently performs at a near-PPG pace.

Before Ovy becoming relevant again it was a no brainer to take Toews over him. Now there's more of a question, but for our team i'd much rather have a Toews over Ovy.

Toews will probably never hit 100 points. He's a great player, but his cup was won a ridiculously stacked team. Great player, but not better than Ovechkin, he hasn't even hit a PPG yet.

kidding right? Toews is WORLD's better player the OVERRATED Ovechkin.

OV is like Arod......scores (HR's and #'s) in bunches in the regular season. Does NOTHING and disappears come Playoffs. Toews has Captained to a Cup team already at a super young age. His leadership skills...his defense...on top of his PPG is makes makes Toews special.

Saying you would take Ovechkin over Toews is like saying you would take Pavel Bure over Mark Messier. NO ONE in their right mind would. Toews (like Messier) is a player you can actually build a team around and WIN. Ovechkin, whilst blessed with world-class skills (ala Bure) and able to score 50+ a season.....is a player that won't ever lead you to Playoff success. There are a ton of players I'd take over Ovechkin. Toews is clearly at the top of that list.

PS. Come talk to me when Ovechkin actually wins a couple rounds in the PO's. Hope he doesn't lay an Egg:sarcasm:

Leafs-Habs, Bruins-Rangers would be fun matchups. Not too many people had the Isles, Sens, and Leafs in the playoff picture this year.

59 points in 51 games isn't exactly disappearing.

I guess you missed the part where AO is one of the best playoff performers of all time? Would seem pretty obvious with him kicking our ass every year

lol @ Ovechkin being a playoff choker. Can't blame him that the rest of the roster is poorly constructed:

Ties late playoff game.

Rangers fans remember this one

And the opening goal in elimination game:

And the GWG.

I know you guys likely don't care about the opponent, but still, who do you feel the Rangers match-up better with? Bruins or Penguins?

I personally think the Rangers are very capable of upsetting the Penguins this year.

Bruins AINEC.

I'd say we'll lose either series, but Lundqvist is made of Bruin-Kryptonite.

21-7-3 record
.943 Save Percentage
1.67 GAA
6 Shutouts

Meanwhile they are 1-8 in their last 9 vs. the Penguins. Not sure why we can upset them as you claim. Past history indicates it won't happen. They beat Hank in the regular season, pre-season, post-season.

Biggest win of the season today.

Rangers Magic Number Number is 4.

Given that the Jets play the Sabres, Capitals, and Canadiens, I think they will lose at least 1 game. Canadiens and Capitals are going to play tough games cause both are involved in tight division battles (the Capitals with the Jets).

I think 1-2 for the Rangers against the Panthers, Hurricanes and Devils will do the job for them. But let's finish this before Saturday!!

I'd like... NYR (6) - Peg (3); NYI (8) - Pitt (1); and Ott (7) - Bos (2).

...realistically though, I'd easily rather play BOS than PITT, and possibly even WSH; simply because Boston doesn't have the same high-end offensive talent. Also I think the Isles could maybe take the Pens.

Winnipeg is not out dueling Washington anytime soon.
