Yeah, can't imagine that's the case, Columbus is winless against the Bruins and Pens this year. 0-5 against the Pens, all loses in regulation, just brutal.

You get whatever advantage you can get. This move doesnt make sense unless they had already locked into a seed and wanted to give him rest then. Otherwise, you take whatever advantage you can get.

You don't just play a back up in this scenario.

eh, i dunno.

i feel like if the Rangers had a chance at the 2 over the 3 seed AV might still have played Talbot against Montreal.

sometimes the bigger picture is more important.

im not saying i disagree with you, im saying, sometimes coaches thing differently than fans...especially when they get to see players day in and day out and know how their physical conditions actually are.

Some teams will have 4-5 days off before their first playoff game. That's adequate rest, in and of itself.

Bobrovski hasn't played a full season. Meaning he will not have the same fatigue other goalies have.

Getting the 3 seed over the 4 seed may be moot, but it matters. Let's say the BJ's got 3rd seed and eliminated us, and Detroit played Pitt while Phi played Bos. Detroit eliminates Pitt, which isn't a stretch, and then CBJ gets home ice advantage for round 2. Against a seasoned team like Detroit, that could be key.

Unless Bob got hurt and we don't know about it, this move doesn't make sense... if we're going under the belief that CBJ is still trying for 3rd seed.

Otherwise, the transparency in this is that CBJ doesn't want to have to play NY in the first round and like taking their chances having to play Boston for Pitt.
 
The New York Rangers are planning to host an indoor fan festival during the Stanley Cup playoffs every day the team plays, whether at Madison Square Garden or on the road.

The Rangerstown Hockey House will be a 9,500-square-foot building adjacent to MSG that was the former site of a Borders books and music store. When the Rangers are at home in the playoffs, the Hockey House will be open from 2 p.m. that day until 30 minutes before opening faceoff. When the team plays on the road, it will open at 5 p.m. and close at the end of the game.

Road games will be shown at the Hockey House, which is sponsored by Chase and is open to all fans.

If Giroux didn't have that bad start in the first half on the season he'd have more points than Crosby...personally I think he's better than Crosby
 
Really? if you could pick any player in the world for your team you'd take Giroux over Crosby? don't mean to make fun of you or anything but I think you might be one of the only people who'd make that choice and I'm just interested to hear why. I think Crosby is the best player in the world and I understand everyone has different opinions but to me Giroux is an odd one.

Well if I could pick anyone it would be toews...but I'd pick Giroux over Crosby just because what happen in the series with them two..he pretty much went toe to toe and won...when Giroux gets focused like that he's unstoppable..and I love the players with a chip on their shoulders..but again toews over everyone...the guy is mister hockey of this generation

You're all over the place. He disappears, then you get proven wrong, you don't even acknowledge being proven wrong and pretend like you never said that he disappears in the playoffs. You then make a worse argument. Is it his fault that Fleury is a sieve? He almost had 2 cups, he just happened to play perhaps the best team since the lockout in 2008. He was 2 wins away. Other than that, you can hardly blame him for not winning a team award.
 
Toews is just a better hockey player than Crosby...and I'm not talking about ***** stats that everyone likes to use...I watch them both...I think toews is better and well rounded

You do know Malkin won the conn right? It's a team game but individualy I'd take toews... example... Crosby vs. Boston and toews vs. Boston...people run to stats... **** stats watch the game and you can tell who's the better hockey player

You seem to just parrot a lot of things you read on HF and sometimes exaggerate it. There is no way Toews is better. Being great defensively is awesome, but Crosby is fine there, there are other players on his team to play defense and besides he always has the puck so he doesn't have to defend.
 
All my argument is about is I don't think Crosby is the best hockey player...sure he's a great one but there's always someone better

You're the only person outside of Jonathan Toews's mother that thinks he's better than Crosby. No need to pretend like you have some sort of superior hockey knowledge.
