Wasn't incidental - he pushed off the Bruins player and propelled himself into the goalie - whether he knew where he was or not. Minor? Yes, but more than enough to throw Rask off.
That was 100% incidental. You think he purposely or reckleslly went into rask? It was a love tap, outside the crease.

His push caused him to hit Rask. We can agree to disagree.

(edit)

And "incidental" is meaningless in the rule:

"Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper's ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal"

"defend his goal" protects his ability to make saves outside the crease.

It’s literally the definition of incidental. The goalie contact was incidental to him contacting another player.

That’s not the definition of intentional. His push was intentional. His contact with Rask was incidental to that intentional push. If he just skated into Rask or cross checked Rask that would be intentional.

Intentional - done on purpose; deliberate.

If you cross check a defensemen, lose your balance and fall back bumping into the goalie, then bumping the goalie is incidental and not intentional. While he CAUSED the contact he did not INTEND the contact.

I'd love to know how many goals are scored when you pull the goalie vs. how many empty netters are scored vs. teams scoring goals when down by one with a couple of minutes to go without pulling the goalie.

Again, doesn't matter if it's intentional or incidental or not. It matters if you're pushed in by the team defending but if it's an "accident" it's still no goal.

Incidental lacks intent. It 100% matters.

There are 3 possibilities:
You intentionally bump the goalie.
You incidentally bump the goalie.
The other team hits you into the goalie.
