OK fellas...remind me what we want again to occur in order for us to get a better first round pick as it's confusing to keep track of this. My brain cells due to abuse over the years are not all there anymore.....lol

a) Dallas wins this series and makes it to the ECF
b) Dallas signs Zucc to a contract
c) All the above
d) either a or b needs to happen

We get their first round pick this year if they make the WCF. 2nd round otherwise.
We get their first round pick next year if they re-sign Zucc. 3rd round otherwise.

We want both to happen, ideally.

In order for the 2019 2nd to turn into a 2019 1st, Dallas needs to make the WCF and Zucc needs to play 50% of the games in the first two rounds.

The 2020 3rd turns into a 2020 1st if they re-sign Zucc.

Thanks, I forgot about the 50% part.
 
Holy cow those Zucc trade conditions and clauses are creative.
Thanks for the info. I'll admit I am kind of lazy about the business side.

We need Dallas to win and win next round to get their first rounder. Zucc signing will net us a first in 2020

I challenge someone to tell me Heiskanen is not the best player from that 2017 draft.
 
Yes our rebuild is going just fine no question but even so, I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm not a bit jealous of all these fanbases at these home playoff games. I mean there really is nothing in all of sports that can compare to a home game in the NHL playoffs.....nothing. And that includes WS games or football games. I've been to Mets, Jets and Knicks playoff games and I'll take a Ranger home playoff game over all the rest as far as intensity and passion is concerned.

Anyways, watching these fans in Boston going nuts makes me long for the 2005-20016 years when we made the playoffs virtually every year and we went on long playoff runs....sniff sniff....

Rinne seemed to show some great lateral movement quickness still in this game, not that I know goaltending especially well.

What he is doing tonight in enemy territory making subtle smart plays in every zone is such a pleasure to watch. Everyone loves the point production of EP and that is fine but give me the big time defender that this kid is already at 19

Like someone else said, just be glad these guys went 3-5 instead of 1-2.

I'm very happy that is the case albeit Nico is a good player but definitely not better than EP or Miro. Makar is getting rave reviews but let's see how he plays against Calgary. Should be fun to see.

I remember friends asking me what the hell is in the water the Rangers drink, as in "they have no business accomplishing what they do" especially in the 2014-2015 stretch obviously. Most of them already hated Tortorella and they just hated that the Rangers were doing something not prescribed for them by the experts.
