We need Buffalo to beat Ottawa and Detroit
Detroit needs to beat Pittsburgh, lose to Buffalo
aaaaand we need to lose 3 more straight. Kinda long shot odds.

You guys been watching any Sharks games lately? They've been giving up some laughably bad goals, and not all on Jones, not even close.

If the Rangers lose their last 3 (Big If), to get 4th worst in the league they need:
  • Buffalo to get 3 points in their last 2 games since Buffalo has 1 more ROW then the Rangers.
  • Detroit to get at least 1 point in their last 2 games since they have 4 more ROW then the Rangers.

For a cushion need a Ducks win tonight!

Zuccarello looked good last night. He hasn't played a game in 5 weeks. He has been skating with the team for the last week. They had said he wouldn't play last night. Dallas had a PP in the 3rd period. Zuccarello was out there with Radulov, Seguin, Benn and Klingberg. They were moving the puck on a string. Zuccarello never played with D like Klingberg or Heiskanen or forwards like Seguin and Benn on the Rangers. They have a lot of firepower. They have excellent goaltending. They are playing much better defensively under Montgomery.

Hopefully, the Stars get Bishop back and he can be healthy enough for them to go on a big playoff run this spring. Right now, they would play Winnipeg. Dallas won 3 out of 4 against the Jets this season. Dallas need one point to clinch the first wildcard.

The Central is wide open. Winnipeg lost to Minnesota last night. The Jets last two games are in Colorado and Arizona. Too bad Arizona lost last night. I left the game 1-1. Colorado needs just 1 point to clinch a playoff spot. Winnipeg tomorrow night. The Rangers need Winnipeg to lose one of their next two games.

Nashville is hosting Vancouver and Chicago at home. Those should be 4 points.

The Blues are in Chicago tonight and home for Philly and Vancouver. They should win all 3 games. The Blues blew the Rangers game.

Nashville or the Blues win the Central. Winnipeg drops. Hopefully, both Nashville and St. Louis surpass the Jets. As long as the Jets don't reach the WCF, their pick will be #22ish.

The Rangers pick will not be worse than 10th heading into the lottery next Tuesday.

If the Rangers drop a game in their last 3, they will have 79 points. No worse than 8th.

I was rooting for Columbus and Pittsburgh to lose last night which they did. The Blue Jackets next game is against the Rangers. They have to win that game. Pittsburgh is playing Detroit again tomorrow night. Did anyone see the empty net goal scored by Mantha last night? Very nice. Usually empty net goals from then other side of the rink are hit or miss. Mantha knew where that puck was going. I was watching the Penguins feed because I like Steve Mears from his NHL Network days. Bob Errey was impressed by that empty netter. That's a guy who played with Mario and Jagr. He has seen every game Crosby and Malkin have played.

Pittsburgh could be 2nd in their division with home ice in one round. 3rd in the division. They can be a wildcard or even miss the playoffs.

If all of this is accurate thanks for the summary. On road and don’t have time to check things out.

Since being traded:

Charlie Coyle and Mikael Granlund combined: 10 points (6 and 4 respectively)

Ryan Donato: 16 points

The f*** happened to Granlund?

The **** happened to Granlund?

Eric Staal was useless after the deadline trade and scored 40 the year after. Nothing's happened to Granlund. Established players that was the core of the franchise suddenly being traded vs. young player getting a career making opportunity to prove themselves.

So 4th is the lowest we could go but appears to be all but impossible to get there. Need Detroit to keep it going and the Rangers to really suck it up. They win tonight and the dream is dead.

We're playing the Sens. It's dead.

Go Ducks.

The Flames are the #1 seed in the west. They are playing for nothing. Their entire top 4 D are out. Their #1 center is out. No Lindholm.

Anaheim has two games left. Both games are at home. Calgary and LA.

76 Points.

The Rangers have 75. Columbus and Pittsburgh will be playing for something. If the Rangers-Senators game was in Ottawa, the Rangers weren't getting out of that game with a W. The Rangers should win tonight.

Anaheim with 2 quick goals!

If they win the 6th spot is all but secured I think. If they manage to beat Pittsburgh and/or Columbus when neither has a secured a playoff spot yet those teams don't deserve to be in the playoffs

Blues lose . Not end of world but shit could they have at least scored one against ward in the shootout
