Most statistical models lose significance when taken to a certain, unrealistic extreme.

Why should this one be any different?
I really don't believe that you still think its fair, but I give up on trying to make you admit it.

If such a hypothetical situation came about, it wouldn't be fair. But the point has no weight because it isn't something that will ever happen. So, it's meaningless how fair or unfair that scenario is.

So what if Pitt won. In a short season you want to see teams get buried in the standings. Philly's working on it and that loss was demoralizing. Pitt's in whethr they won tonight or not. If the Rangers take care of business against the Pens instead of always laying down to them... THEN and only then will we overtake them.

Called Ryan Miller one of the most overrated goalies in the league, someone goes "Miller's one of the best goalies to ever play the game" followed by "Ranger's fans are so stubborn"

I just don't even...

Ive been saying Miller was overrated since 09-10 when he won the Vezina.

That year really irritated me cause Hank was always better before that and carried the Rangers, but Miller got all the publicity for the Olympics and Vezina that ONE year and suddenly he ousted Hank. Stuck by that, and here we are.

Always said Miller just had a great season. Otherwise hes pretty average. He always plays well against us though. Most Rangers-Sabres games seem to be goalie duels.

I'd rather have the division title. We're probably gonna finish 4th/5th and play the Habs, Flyers or Devils.

Miller is definitely overrated.

I remember when people were saying he was better than Lundqvist.

Those were the days.

Heh, that year was great. Miller this, Miller that.

Look at the stats, this is all you need to say.

Miller's career year, and Vezina winning season: 2.22 GAA, .929 sv%
Henrik Lundqvist's career: 2.27 GAA, .920 sv%

That rebound he gave up on the tying goal may have been the worst I've ever seen. :amazed:

Their rookie year he had a really good stretch and a lot of people got on the Miller bandwagon as better than Lundqvist. Plus he made the ECF and Lundqvist had a really poor playoff. Also during his career year he was better. Otherwise that was never the case. Though he's almost always played well against us.

I'm not holding my breath but if the Rangers win their games in hand they'll only be 2 points behind the Pens. However, I'd say right now the Pens are a better team. D and goaltending can be shaky but their offense is more reliable than our defense.
