Completely agree that it is lame. However, in a shortened season when you are playing only teams in your conference, each shooter in the shootout has you on the edge of your seat.

I really wish they'd get rid of it though and have it go to 3v3 after the 4v4 five minute OT. I think that would be much more exciting. I'd rather see the game in 3 players hands at a time than just one in a shootout (plus your goalie).

if it was up to me id get rid of the shootout and have each game like a playoff game continueous overtime 5 on 5.. those are exciting

Canes have won 4 of their last 5 looking pretty good. I don't think they're out yet.

Honestly, if the Rangers could get Brown I would be okay with a Brown-Halpern-Powe 4th line. The guy can skate and can be a force on the forecheck. Would fit in well.

Completely forgot they had Ellis. I thought Peters was their backup. Not that he's a hack, but IDK if I'd say he's a reliable starter at this level.

Seems like he was headed back to Russia until they traded him to a team with a few more Russians than ours.

I think he just wanted better shot. LA had such a log jam up front that it he was either coming in as wing or not at all. Kid is one of the few natural centers I've seen who looks legitimately uncomfortable on the wing.

That seems like a bad trade but I guess Boyle returned a 3rd from the Rangers before he was even an established NHLer.

Trade Boyle now! If Brown can get a 3rd, Boyle should be able to get a 2nd +
