Hayes seems to be fitting in. Nice to have another big body down the middle. I'd love to keep him around for awhile but I have a feeling he's going back to you guys in the summer.

Bad night on the scoreboard. Jets beating Nashville no bueno.

The Avery video sums up everything wrong with the Rangers/Islanders dichotomy.

The Tavares thing is absolutely none of our business and it's absolutely none of Avery's business.

We desperately need attention from that team and it's embarrassing.
I mean, you may have a point in a way, but Avery isn't an ambassador for the Rangers so the "our" and "we" is misplaced. This is an example of Avery, as much as I like him, looking for attention. The whole hockey world was zeroing in on that game, so I don't think it's a great example of a ranger obsession.

Alain Vigneault singlehandedly destroyed the Ottawa Senators franchise by handing the Sens the series win with Staal-Holden and making the owner and management think they were in contending form, one win away from the Cup finals. The dominoes all started with that conference final appearance. Perhaps permanently if relocation occurs due to ownership change and arena problems.
I beg to differ...although that played a huge part in the Sen fall from grace , I go back even further to when Dave Cameron was made coach mid ? part of season and then the Hamburglar stepped in and they all played over their heads the rest of the season . They overachieved for the first time . That IMO was the start of some of the probs....plus some terrible GM probs and bad deals , signings and sickness within the team and management did not help either with Anderson's wife with Cancer and Murray with cancer and the the wife/GF of one of the players squirted with lighter fluid and accidentally set on fire[very tragic]....all that stuff hurt them and or played part . Some really sad events and bad luck plagued the club ....I also forgot about the Karlsson wife saga . Plus the owner was seriously sick too at one point and dying . Lot of stuff for any club to overcome when you think about it .

Following score at work but how the hell is edmonton crushing a team in Columbus that needs to win this game damn.

That's true, but Rangers fans are rallying around the Avery video like he won a game 7 in overtime.

And even before the video, Rangers fans have been talking more about Tavares and the Islanders than about the Rangers. And that's a common occurrence. It doesn't happen here much because as I've said before, believe it or not, HF is the cream of the crop. But all over social media, you don't really have Rangers fans -- you have Islanders haters. That's what a large, very vocal portion of our fanbase has become. Just like the subhumans at Prudential who give Rangers score updates in the crowd. That's no different from whistling at Potvin.

It’d be pretty hilarious if Columbus missed the playoffs after going completely all-in at the TDL.

It'll be pretty hilarious from a metro rival's vantage point to see them lose 2 of their top 3 forwards and starting goaltender if they don't win the Cup. Huge off season for Kelakelanielainein to sort through the aftermath if they fall short.

Would be devastating for them. I'm hoping they sneak in. They showed balls going for it. whether in the end its a good or bad decision we shall see. Rather see Pitt or Carolina miss.

OT please
Why? I rather see the Kings finish lower than the devils. There is no way the Kings pass us.
As they take lead. I swear the Hawks need to score more than 4 goals every game to have a chance. Not a recipe for making a playoff run

also should give pause for thought to people that want to sign panarin. yes he is absolutely elite but you aren't paying him to be a passenger. with the $$ he'll get you are signing him to be THE man. if he can't get a pretty decent clb team into the playoffs how is he going to be the guy to lead us to the cup

McDavid can't lead his team to the play offs either, but I'll take him on my team. What about Patrick Kane? Or Jack Eichel? Same thing.

A player who is leading his team in points by *12* and would lead the Rangers by *8* is obviously not capable of being good. Yes. 100% agree.

McDavid must be another bum. Leads his team by 9 points, and leads the third place player by 34, and would lead this team by 27.

All of them are bums for not making the playoffs. Get them out of my sight.

Not for nothing, but he basically dragged them in last year and almost singly handedly beat the eventual champs by himself.

Hes an excellent player. My issue with signing him is the timing, not his ability.

naming elite players on garbage teams isn't the same thing at all....and i've want panarin all year but what has he gotten columbus for all his points? is he capable of being THE man cause thats what he'd need to be here

Unfortunately, timing is not something the Rangers can control. If teams could control when other players not on their team became UFAs, it would be great.

But, the reality is...it's now or never for signing Panarin in his best years.
