Yikes the lack of effort from Tampa. If they don't get to at least the cup finals this year major major disappointment.
 
I'm much more worried about vancouver than the Yotes. The Yotes can really be decent if they get healthy. They will probably just miss the playoffs but they will pass us. The Canucks on the other hand are not that good and if they fall out of the playoff race its a coin toss at best they finish with more points than us.

Oilers finish with at best 75 points. That means we have to get fewer than 11 points in our last 19 games for them to pass us.
 
Rooting for Dallas. don't see LA coming close to passing us plus need to somehow get Dallas to win few rounds in the playoffs or would it be better for them to miss the playoffs and get a better second rounder from them??? lol.

We should have beat them last night. Outplayed them. They are going to likely have this effort till the playoffs.

Yeah, The bottom 5 are so bad I don't see them winning more then 3 or 4 games a piece the rest of the way. Hope for 6th worst and a ping pong luck.

Speaking of the Yotes, looks like our old buddy Derek Stepan went down with a pretty bad leg injury. Went into the boards backwards at a strange kind of angle and couldn’t put any weight on his leg.

Of course that team claws their way to 1 point away from a playoff spot and then Stepan goes down. Unreal.
 
Not a bad night for the tank last night. 3pt games (Dallas/LA with Dallas winning, Florida got a point VS Vegas, Philly got a point Vs Columbus).

Edmonton got 2 (though against Ottawa) and Arizona got 2 (though against Vancouver).

Rangers still sit in 23rd. Tonight's games for the tank:

  • Buffalo Vs Pittsburgh (Sabres!)
  • Rangers Vs Montreal (Habs!)
  • New Jersey Vs Philly (3pt Devils!)
  • Anaheim Vs Vegas (Ducks!)

On paper were probably as bad as any team in the bottom 10, but we seem to have an x factor in Quinn so it's wishful thinking we'll finish 6th I think, unfortunately. Hopefully players drop and we can get a hold of someone ranked 5-7 in the 9-10 spot

Or vice versa lol if we somehow ended up 5th or 6th (which is a stretch) we could pick someone ranked "lower" hey you never know?! We might have even picked Kravtsov much higher than even 9th if its true we had him ranked second best forward behind Svechnikov.

It was really a good night for the Devils. The Kings and Oilers got points. Like you said tho at least the Stars won, Florida got a point, and philly got a point).

They did take Pitt to double overtime game 7. Also as per Hf boards we weren't even expected to get by round 1 that year. We were supposed to lose in 5 to Montreal
