Mark April 1st on your calendar. Yes, not only it is April fools day......it is also apropos that the Devil are playing the Rangers.

With any luck (especially if Hall returns) the Devils may have caught up to us by then.....making that a game that actually will MEAN SOMETHING. Looking forward to it.

For the best player in the league?

Yes. And it probably won't cost that.

If that were the cost, I wouldnt do it. Too much, like you said. Actually that trade is EXACTLY what the Oilers need to get out of the crap situation they are in.

Not at our expense though.

I would give up Kreider, one of Lindgren/Rykov and 1 of our 2020 1sts (hopefully) and a 2021 2nd. Too bad if they don't like my offer. This wouldn't happen anyway, as he is not available now (or is he?) Lol.

For the top player in the league, who would be 24 two years from now.

Different year, same shit

Colorado will have 74 points and in all likelihood out of our reach after today's win. Think we're at the point where it's safe to say that the highest we'll finish is 9th worst as I don't see us catching Chicago with the way they've been playing. Meanwhile the 5th pick is still very much attainable with the 4th still in play, but with how shitty the Devils are that's a longshot. At 5th we'll have about a 27% chance of picking in the top 3, but with the Rangers luck retaining that pick and not dropping back is all I'm really hoping for

6th is the spot they'll likely land.

Anaheim and Buffalo have easy schedules the rest of the way, Vancouver's is the toughest. I expect Anaheim to jump us while Vancouver stays where they are.

Oilers should be able to do enough to stay ahead of us, having the tie breaker helps.

We needed NJ to win today in order for them to really have any shot at passing us since there is a h2h left and they would only need to be 1 win better than the Rangers aside from that (now that its 2, it makes it more difficult.)

I hope they fall 3 slots in the draft lottery and take the next Pavel Zacha.

The devils are garbage that is all. They deserve to draft another Zacha

Yeah, like the Rangers are "so good" at building around a generational player. Add McDavid and lose many pieces that would be a part of the "team" to build around. I am all about "team". We will get our McDavid......only his name is Kakko.

When was the last time a NY Rangers team had a generational player to build around? I don't remember one in the last 40+ years. Leetch is a HOF'er, but he's not a generational player.

Okay, I was focused on being sarcastic......but I actually was referring to Hank. True, maybe he wasnt considered a generational player.....but that is just semantics. We had Hank for all these years, and really should have put together a better team in front of him. Should have gotten at least 1 cup, for him. And us.
