Would be awesome if Dallas can jump one of Nashville or Winnipeg. Would give them home advantage......if they should catch both......well then, they would play WC team.

Their home/away record (as well as Preds & Peg's) is decidedly better at home......As well it should be, and usually is.

And if they were to jump Winnipeg, and the Jets should falter in the playoffs, that would also have the bonus of helping our cause by improving the draft slot of the pick we received for Hayes.

The developments aren’t huge, but like most things, it adds up. Every little advantage helps.

The Ducks looked dead in the water a few weeks ago. Maybe there is hope after all.

Since they fired Carlyle they have looked much better. Closer games, starting to score more goals, and giving up less goals. They had a stinker against Arizona, but Yotes are hot right now, but they did beat Nashville 3-2 a few games ago.

To think if Murray had pulled the trigger sooner on Carlyle they may still be in a playoff spot now.

They got Gibson and Perry back which helps too.

We need Vancouver to hold on, drop us to the 6th spot. Anaheim only 2 points back, but we have 2 games in hand.

I’ll repeat something I said a few weeks back: compared to many of the other bottom dwelling teams, the Rangers are in a somewhat unique position. Whereas other teams traded away a lot of their talent already, decided to keep them, or were waiting to get them back, the Rangers hadn’t yet seen life without some of their best guys.

The worst was always yet to come.

I was going to say that I think they struggled at first during the coaching change, but started winning whey they got healthier.

Man, as I said the other night, it's torture rooting for teams like Vancouver. Always a tease. Terrible defense and blown opportunities to win this game. Let's see how the shootout goes.
