I hoped Chicago would hold on, but given where they were and the way they were playing until recently, I suppose we still have to be glad about their resurgence as of late. We need the Blues and LA to start picking up wins.

STL now only 3 points behind us and if Chicago can hold on against the Flames they'll be level on points (with a few more games played). We're starting to really head towards the bottom of the standings
I hope you didn't actually expect that to happen lol

Lias, VK and Filip have all looked good playing Center against other juniors, but I don't think any of them are Centers.

Andersson is probably the best suited for center out of the three of them, but, if the Rangers do their job and add the proper talent, Howden gets pushed to 3C, and Andersson gets moved to wing.

Ugh, we have to endure Philly vs Washington on NBC Sports before we can watch our game on MSG? Seriously, it’s the same f***ing teams on NBC all of the time. I’d bet casual hockey fans probably think there’s only 8 teams in the league:sarcasm:

How are the Panthers so bad? Not watching but saw they are down 2-0 already??? Philly and florida are such massive disappointments so far.

Depth, the right players to play the right roles, drafting beyond obvious choices, and the ability to supplement and augment the talent they develop.

Wheeler has been one of my favourite players for quite a while. He kind of epitomizes the old adage "does it all"
Ryan Graves just got a goal for the Avs. He doesn't look bad out there.

Not one team below us in the standing got even a point. 12 possible points for those teams and a big fat Zero was had.

Blake Wheeler might be one of the most underrated players of the past 8 years.

And he's one of the few guys Sather couldn't sign.....

Oh well, heaven is when your favorite team is finally rebuilding and your second favorite team is one of the favorites for the cup - Winnipeg Jets fan since 1985 !

its funny thinking back to the reactions to the 2004 draft when the coyotes went off the board to get him. he never played for them but 15 years later he's probably the 3rd best player from that draft after ovechkin and malkin.

And he had a pretty long path to get there.

It was (technically) with his third organization, some 7 years after he was draft before he hit his stride.
