I remember a Ranger doing something like this during the 2005-2006 season. Rucinsky was in front of the bench making gestures with his hands for "5" and "1" because the Rangers were beating the Flyers so badly.

Horrible weekend in terms of yet more good players going down with injury - Prust, Jamie Benn, Colin Wilson. Not sure how long those last two are out, may not be long but hate to see all these injuries piling up. Will be interesting to see the injury averages from this year to last. Shortened season.

It's crazy how poor of an offensive year Zajac is having. I felt pretty confident saying the contract he was signed to was a bad contract, but I still didn't think he'd be doing this bad.

Theres always the risk of money spoiling a player. I dont think theres any way to know until they get paid. Then you hope. Because he hates paying anyone, my guess is Lamoriello reminds the player how much money hes making which makes it even more difficult to get back on track.

Just imagine how bad that team would be if Clarkson didn't score 75% of his season total goals in the first 10 games.

I just don't think Zajac was ever that great of a player. He had some great linemates and a lot of ice time. Two very good seasons followed by mostly mediocre seasons. He's a good but not great player. A bit better than Dubinsky. The term length on that Zajac deal is just brutal.
