The bigger concern is that the Hawks don't take a meaningful step into the postseason over the next couple years and then B. Tkachuck leaves via Unrestricted Free Agency, or making it clear he won't extend and Hawks make a pennies on the dollar recoup to his handpicked destination (due to his expiring contract and at that point, No Movement Clause).

No need to trade for a player in any previous draft…not close enough to compete. Going forward, I’d rather grab a free agent and keep the high draft picks.
