Since jumping out to an 8-1-3 start, the Debbies have gone 7-15-7. Good god that is so beautiful.

That's sooo page 37

They have some of the best possession numbers in the league. They're a hardworking team that controls the puck, but just can't bury the puck in the back of the net. I think this game should put them at top for Fenclose.

Not enough skill up front. Too many plumbers, neophytes and older players past their prime. This team is relatively salvagable aside from their so-called top 6. Lou is going to have a difficult time finding 2 more forwards via the draft or free agency that can create offfense.

They should trade Larsson for a guy like Eberle.

Helps both teams desperately.

Dunno. Larsson is an enigma. He looked like the #4 pick in the draft before Subban demolished him while carrying the puck up the ice at the midway point last season. Larsson's confidence diminished from that point on, which led to several scratches once he returned from the injury. Coming into this year, the coaching staff hasn't done him any favors by shackling him to the red line. They have screwed with his natural development awfully IMHO.

True. He has regressed or flat out stalled due to the psychological impact of the Subban collision and the coaching staff's stubborness.

Hopefully, he gets back on track and plays like he did when he first made the team.

Ouch, haven't seen that clip before. It was a good hit, just really bad luck that he slammed into the boards like that.

Devils goalie Martin Broudeaur has 666 wins in his nhl career and never has he lost 8 games in a row a coincidence or something sinister:sarcasm:

That will help him on his way to becoming a solid defenseman.

But like Hedman, even before the draft, I never saw any killer instinct in Larsson. I ****ing loved Tim Erixon as a prospect, and he's gonna be a stud, but it's the same problem with him.

Larsson has a high IQ, he's big, skates well, does everything well for the most part. But I don't see that extra gear unfortunately.

this is the greatest thing i have ever seen. wow.:laugh: and the lady in front of him takes off her glasses to get a better look, i think

that is classic. id love him at MSG.. imagine him and Dancin Larry dancing during the games. that would be awesome :yo: does anyone have a youtube of that?? id love to hear the announcers haha

We win tomorrow and Devils are done.

we play the devils two more times this season. If the devils win both games against us in regulation they will gain 4 points on us in the standing.

The devils right now are 4 points behind us in the standings going into tonights game.

BTW i would never count the devils out untill its impossible for them to make it mathematically

Yup, there's still essentially an 8 point swing in those two games...so the devils definitely ain't out of it yet. But, a win tonight would definitely get them close to must win mode this week if they are going to have a shot at making those last two games against us count.

Devils would also have to outpoint every other team due to their low ROW total. Essentially they are 5 points back as of today. Hopefully it's 7 after tonight. The real team to worry about is Winnipeg. They are coming on strong and have a very favorable schedule. Toronto is in a good spot, but not out of the woods yet. It's crazy to see some of the remaining games for teams fighting for spots:

WSH: TOR, OTT x2, WPG
TOR: WSH, NYI, OTT
OTT: WSH x2, TOR
NYI: NYR, TOR, WPG
WPG: NYI, WSH

A lot of points that will definitely be lost. The Rangers have the Islanders tonight, then play 7 games against teams essentially out of the race. They have the easiest schedule by far and need to take advantage of that and grab the 6th spot. I just have that gut feeling the last game vs NJ will be significant. It's the Ranger way

Don't forget to add all the loser point losses they accumulated. They probably would be below the Panthers in the standings if it weren't for the loser point. They couldn't even beat a Ottawa team that barely showed up after playing last night against Philly.

Loser point?

The skills competition point is the problem not the point for the tie...ties have always been part of hockey...

Having ten losses essentially equal five wins is the problem in my mind, regardless of whether it was in OT or a shootout.
