Let the Devils win, we've got the tie breaker and if we pick up two tomorrow we can catch the two teams ahead of us.

Let's just hope for no three point game. I just have a hard time rooting for Newark cause you know they would never root for us if things were flipped. I guess flip a coin. If Ottawa wins its gonna be very hard making up those 4 points trying to catch them. On the other hand, if the Sens win Newark will be in pretty much all but finished. They would have 7 games left and in all likely hood would have to go 6-1 just to sniff making the playoffs. The loser point wouldn't help them anymore.
 
I think I'm pulling for Ottawa to win this one as much as I'd like to catch them. I'd rather the Devils not be able to jump us or catch up with us when we play them at the end of the season.

I'm going for the Devs, but mostly a 2 point game.
 
If we are going for it, I recon NJD is to root for since one have to expect that we also would do well in PO mode with 6 games to go, but I don't know...

Also, I could be wrong here, but I want the best possible 8th and/or 7th team to play Bos and Pitt, and I would guess at NJD being one of those teams ahead of NYI and the Jets (but I could be underrating the later two).

And I mean, even if we finnished 7-8, if NJD wins their matchup against Pitt or Bos with Kova back, we'd be playing to get out into a wide open East in our first matchup with Pitt/Bos. That's as good of a chance at the cup as you ever is going to get.

I could be wrong but I think a regulation Sens loss moves us up to 7th and them to 8th ? I'll take that. But yes mostly just have this game end in regulation. Sick of seeing the Debbies pick up loser points to stay relevant.

The Devils also had less then a 6.4% chance on winning the lottery, and less then a 6.4% chance of Larsson falling to them.

They are the luckiest franchise in the league, and until they're officially eliminated, their chances of making the playoffs are just as good as the Rangers.

It always works out for the Devils.

I honestly just want to make the playoffs. And any chance the Rangers have to pull ahead of the Devils is a good idea to me. I want the Sens to win, but a Devs REGULATION win, will be a-okay with me.

Me too. I have not been the most confident with this team given their inconsistency, but I just have the feeling that the Isles have been playing a little over their heads and the Rangers are going to bring them back down to earth tomorrow.

wow.. a lot of rumors about him since he been on the Flyers.... makes you wonder about his character or the team.... but his contract makes Lundqvist's contract a bargain :yo: good job by the Flyers for overpaying for an average goalie...

Have patience my friend.

I want them to start winning and I want us to shatter their playoff chances in the back2back at the end of the season.

The best case scenario is that they finish 9th and don't win the lottery. No playoffs and a mediocre draft pick.
