No one is talking about banning fighting. They were commenting on serious injuries resulting from fighting situations as the primary concern of the advocates of banning fighting in hockey. It's more of a sentimental thing than actual advocating.

They were. A couple of times one announcers was saying "Why do we have to wait for some freak accident to occur."

Then one of dudes talked about some freak accident in juniors/minors and said if that happened in the NHL fighting would be banned. I just took it as posturing...

I don't mind it when it's Ovi. It's what makes Ovi Ovi. If it's some kid with 40 games under his belt, then it's a bit distasteful. Guys like Kaner and Ovi own the license to celebrate.
