Enough of this bs about the refs, they're not robots, it's part of the game. Good teams overcome adversity, period. If the officiating is that much of a hinderance to your team, then they don't deserve to win anyway.

It's part of the game? do you even remember what happened in 2008? it was atrocity... not even good teams would overcome that.

There is no reason why the Rangers dont sweep the Bruins.

I'm jumping on the Rangers bandwagon

I feel for Leafs fans, their suffering was only slightly eased this season by making the playoffs. That will not ease their pain tonight.

The Bruins pulled that out of where? Reimer was very good and can hold his head up, as can the Leafs entire team and coaches.

Edit: as far as making the playoffs for the first time in 9 years, that is.

Guys, I'm not going to lie. I really, really, really, feel for Leafs fans right now. I would be absolutely sick to my stomach... screw that... I would literally throw up. What an effort by that team only to lose in Game 7 in that kind of fashion. Those are some passionate fans out there in Toronto and hockey in everything in that town.

What's the deal with Spezza? Not coming back this year?

Maclean says he's far away from being back.

Also, what's up with the NHL.com polls. I have a theory they start the poll out with 100 give or take 1 or 2 votes for each poll option so that even with fans voting heavily for one option or the other, it all looks all Barney the big ****ing dinosaury and everyone feels included.

You have to experience pain the NHL playoffs to get to the next level. Games 7 in 2009 helped a lot of the Rangers players, Ottawa learned a lot from last year, Pittsburgh got smoked by Ottawa in 2007.

Remember in 2007 when the Rangers almost went up 3-2 against the Sabres?

It's all part of the process. Teams like the Leafs, Canadians, and Islanders will learn a lot from this whether or not it shows up next year or not, it's part of anyone whose been through its' DNA now.

Wow, I dug up my prediction post from the old thread and it turns out that I was 8/8 in the first round! Messed up the number of games, but that's irrelevant. Right?
